You could use Goo-Gone, but be careful, If there is a tear in the gloss, you could possible remove or stain the label underneath, I usually use spit and a finger nail. Sweetness.

Depends on the label, but generally, windex, water, or the like work wonders. For sticky stuff, Goo Gone.
But make a note: DO NOT try to clean the Spectravision 2600 cart labels because the ink will come right off! Beware!

I've found ronsol lighter fluid works wonders, even takes permenate marker off, just same precautions as goo be gone....if there's tears in the label be careful rubbing to hard over them.

If it's the silly grease pencil they use at Goodwill, a little water and a soft cloth will work wonders. If it's Magic Marker, sometimes glass cleaner (and a LOT of rubbing :D !) will remove it. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out! 8-)

And if it's perm marker on label, you'r SOL big time. You could always auction such cart as "rare autographed cart! Signed by $2.99! RARE!!!" LOL LOL LOL

So try to use Goo-Gone or something else to remove the pricing labels off my NES carts then?
And this sucks- when a friend game me his TMNT2 cart he wrote his name on it with marker! ARGHHH!

I've got some "Anti-Static Cleaner", from the RS catalogue (Product 569-284). It's alright, but if you keep it on there too much you can see colours on the end of your cotton bud / swab (whatever you call it) so it's best to be quick.
Unfortunately, I find labels to be a bit of a bugger to clean. It's more of a "hit and hope" situation than anything...
