cleaning the genesis cart connector

Hi,

Does any1 know how to clean out the connector? Ive tried cotton buds (i think they are called Q-tips in the USA) and ive tried a toothpick but the next thing i can find that is thin enough is some tin foil!!???!!
any1 recommend anything

Fine grit sandpaper, and an old credit card. Extreme care, then compressed air. Spray on contact cleaner from an electronics place is good too.

i shoved a very thin screwdriver in and prised it out LOL LOL

and it didnt damage anything "thank god"
