looking for a little info on this title, if anybody here has some first hand knowledge of it. theres a guy at a local flea market who has this game on his stand for $15. i laugh at him since its not the kind of place that will ever attract a gamer with those sort of tastes, i figure since he's had it for weeks he can be talked down to $7-$10. its a nice looking package, 4 discs and thick booklet in a nice binder. i'm pretty sure i have a device around here somewhere that will let me play imports so thats not an issue. i'm just not so sure about the game itself, is it useless unless you read japanese? is there anything special about the game? is it rare or valueable? would anybody here kill to have it, if so talk to me :)

I dont remember any details, but there was some info in an old Next Generation (comparing PSX, Saturn and N64).

there is a 2 page spread in diehard gamefan,vol.5,may 1997.the pics look cool, and it looks like it has alot of pre-rendered fmv and cg movies that consists of the gameplay.you walk thru the game doom style.it also looks like it plays alot like d or echo night.it dont look like it is non-japanese friendly.so,if you dont understand or read japanese, you might want to stay away from it.

The article in next gen says it is 100% pre-rendered.

I used to have it but never got too far into it because I couldn't understand what the hell was going on (LOTS of Japanese text). It was all pre-rendered with a couple of CG movies. First-person point-and-click, kinda like Myst. Push up, watch the graphics scroll by as you "walk," wait until you stop, click on something else, continue. Seemed a bit dull, but like I said, I never really got into it.
The packaging was very nice though.

Kowloon...that's the name of the world in Shadow of the Beast II. Any relation?

Probably not. Kowloon's a real place...somewhere in Hong Kong, I think.
