Believe it or not, I sold a set of those (both mint) for $20 US about 6 or 8 months ago.

I'd pay $20 for the two maps. It's the only thing I've needed for my copy for quite some time.

I saw starcade's previous thread. If he's gonna' just put these on his wall.. well.. that's just.. "sacrilege". ;)

Oh Gawd.. please.. I hope he isn't going to "thumbtack" them to the wall (or worse yet.. scotch tape loops). :frustrated:

The 2 Chrono Trigger maps add about $12-$20 to the value of the game. Separately (as in just the 2 maps), you'd be looking at about $10-$18 in value. If starcade offers you $20 for them, I'd take it if I were you.

Well if he doesn't... :hmm:

The bad thing about using game posters as artwork is the creases. Let's face it.. even in a frame they never.. <shuts mouth>.

Anybody ever try "ironing" a poster out (low heat.. of course)?

When you're talking about "mint" folded posters one has to almost think the SOONER you unfolded them the better; for wall artwork at least.

yeah, you are right.they have creases because they are folded.i do believe that these maps would be better suited for someone who has the game, box, booklet, but needs the maps.these maps are in mint condition,i mean, they look like new when you unfold them.no markings,no rips,no fading.they are in great shape.i already have a complete copy of chrono trigger, and my maps and everything look new also(i bought that copy when it first came out).the maps that are extras,i found in a battletoads in battlemania box about 5 years ago,and i have kept the maps in a plastic tote with other maps and booklets i have.but,if he makes me a trade, and he wants to hang them on the wall, thats his choice.but,if my trade with him dontpan out,i would be willing to work something out with someone else here at dp.

I had mine thumbtacked to my bedroom wall for years. ;) I feel no regret about it either. I got SO much more enjoyment out of them than had I just kept them put away in the box all that time, and since I never intend to sell them, I have no problem with a couple tiny little holes in each corner. Despite that they were up for so long, they stayed in remarkably good shape. I don't think they even got faded at all. I don't think I would ever put them up like that again, but I'm happy that I wasn't so anal and concerned with value as a teenager and could fully enjoy them. (Back then the only "value" Chrono Trigger had to me was personal and sentimental value; I couldn't care less about it in a monetary sort of way.)
