I'm looking for a STEALTH modchip that works with all models of the Playstation, and the less soldering required the better.

Please point me toward the best source before I plunk down the cash for a plug & play at modchip.com....

Or, if you prefer, just inform me of a good place (besides EBAY) to find a Japanese PSX, in the U.S.

Thanks!

Or you could get a PS-Xchange disc. It won't work if you have multi-disc games, but it does the job otherwise and is supposed to be comparable to the stealth chip. No soidering, no opening the machine, other than to put a spring on the disc close button.

www.modchip-sbox.com $4.65 a chip stealth 6 wire in a PSOne but works with all versions. about the best deal you can get.

As for PS2 chips I've had no problems with the XO-2 no-swap internal chip.. does 2-layer DVD's without skipping which is a big problem with the old no-swap ps2 chips. Installing these 22+ wire no-swap chips will tax your patence and solder skills.. one wrong move and your screwed.. Just getting the motherboard out is tuff without breaking one of the many many fine ribbons.

Damn. Wish you'd mentioned something while a buddy of mine was still in Japan. He sent me a PSone and that thing works like a charm - same voltage, same everything, pure bliss.
