Anyone have this game?

I'm finding it hard to do well in races.

I always find I run out of steam half way up the home stretch and I don't over do it in the race, If I'm a front runner horse I stick just in front of the pack and if I'm a backrunner horse I stay in contention at the back but nothing works for me.

I run a 10f race all day yesterday and didn't win it once, I tried all different kind of horses and strategies and followed the tutorials but nothing works, whatever I do I seem to run outta stamina/potential really quickly, anyone got any tips pls for the different horse types, as I say I have followed the tutorial but doesn't seem to work for me.

Thnx

I played Sega's Derbys Owners Club game at Dave and Busters last week and to my shock REALLY enjoyed it. I even have the card with my hose info in my wallet. :)

I was going to ask if there are any horse racing games released for consoles or PC in the States, so.....

Sorry for the slight threadjack, but are there any? :)

The best PS2 ones are GI Jockey 3 and Gallop Racer 2003

PC has 'Horse Racing Manager'

Personally I think GI Jockey 3 is the best, just very hard it seems!

So are any of those released in the States? Which ones?

Can you make suggestions on what the best one is? I'd like to find one that played very close to Sega's Derby Owners Club since I assume that never got a console release.

Koei said they were bringing Winning Post 6 to the States, but there's no release date anywhere for it. :hmm:

And yeah, I agree about your problem -- I had the same difficulty with my first race in DOC. :)

Thanks for the info, man!

The GI Jockey 3 game is based on American horse racing tracks so I guess it's released over there.

I have never played the Sega one, but as I say I reckon start with GI Jockey 3.
