Does anyone know the value of an Earthbound air freshener that smells like pizza. You had to guess the smell on a scrath and sniff card to win one. I couldn't find it in the rareity guide so i was j/w if any knew the value.

Wow, I used to have one of those! It sucks that I lost it. :( Didn't it come with some kind of Nintendo Power promo/offer?

I'm not sure what kind of value it holds though.

You won it when you guessed the mystery smell on a card that came with either guide or the game. Someone told me its worth more than the game and the guide but im not sure if theyre lying or not

Wow....surprised I didn't know about this. What kind of packaging did they come in? It would be awesome to have a sealed one so the scent doesn't escape....air fresheners, as we all know tend to wear out. ANybody got any pics of these?

I would imagine that a sealed one (if that's how they came, and I imagine they did) would fetch (at the very least) $10-30. Hell, I"d pay $20 for one. However, it would fetch much higher if all EB fans knew about it. Some very rare things go for dirt cheap because they are unpopular or generally unknown. If it becomes more known, demand goes up, but the supply sure won't, thus increasing the value.

I very much doubt it is worth more than the game, especially since the older it gets, the more it degrades in quality (scent, for the most part). Even if it was very well known to exist, I really doubt it would fetch more than $50 in an extreme case of obsessive ebay bidding. Then again, I saw yesterday two megeman bobble heads go for about $100 each...so who knows.

Yea they dont last long. Once the package is opened the pizza scent only lasts for one day. Along with the air freshener Nintendo sent you an congratulatory note.

If it's still sealed, and is packaged with the game and guide... say all the items complete, including all the s'n's cards on the guide, you're looking at around a $150 package all together. Some people will pay around $20 or so on eBay for just the air freshener.

I don't get it, I really can't get into Earthbound.

Yeah.

I'll agree, and say that the air freshener would be considered much more valuable if it were included with a complete SNES "Earthbound." A copy of the game, complete with mail-in-promotion pizza air freshener can hit as much as $200, I believe.

However, you haven't told us if the thing is still sealed or not. If you made the mistake of opening it, as most of us on here probably would have, it's worth significantly less. If you've already opened it, it's not really worth throwing into a complete set.

I'd like to get my hands on one. It's certainly a cute little item.

I really like EB's concept/characters/story... but I dislike the battle system. Even though I personally didn't get past Fourside (I missed a part of the song on the other side of the tunnel and the game won't let me go back, so my party is too weak), I really think that the air freshener is worth like $20-$50. I'm not a hardcore fan and I say this. There.

One Day!

Well damn...considering that even cellophane plastic is slightly porous, I can't imagine even a sealed one smells anymore. Can anyone confirm?

I would imagine that it still has some odor left in it.

Huh? I thought you couldn't go back in time until you had the complete melody.

Yeah.. and too bad the scent didn't last very long...

I've always wondered if these would be worth anything (especially considering that it's opened). I guess that's a yes though, right?
