Caliber .50 is a great all out shooting game. You pretty much just run around and shoot people. Great game.
But the one game you MUST own. Probably the greatest Genises game of all time-
BOOGERMAN
I can not tell you how awsome this game is. I rember back in the day my mom refused to rent it for me and my sister, so we would have my dad do it. LOL

There's a shitload more I'm tracking down atm as well. There's just so many damn good games on this system. It's defenitely my favorite system. Try to track down some of these kick ass games =D.
Michael Jacksons' Moonwalker. Unless of course you've played it on emulation then it ruins the genesis experiance.

Certainly adding another vote for Rocket Knight Adventures. Damn that game's awesome. *explodes in a fireball through the nearest stone wall* Plus it's got the famous Konami two-planes trick (in the waterfall stage - remind you of another Konami game? :D )
Ball Jacks...hmm, I'm getting owned all the time, and I've yet to figure this one out.
Blue Almanac...like a more detailed Phantasy Star II, apparently, but there might be some problems with it all the same. Looks great, though.
Dyno Land 2 - hillarious intro; well, mostly hillarious! There's some high tragedy here, too, but you'll forget it soon enough. The game...well...can't comment much about that!
Beyond Oasis - awesome, sort of like Zelda 3 with more moves. The game's style is pretty awesome. It's not quite Zelda, but it's comparable.
Gauntlet IV - quest mode will change your life forever. Capable of causing hallucinations. *shoots off five potions in a row*

I second Alisia Dragoon. Once I get around to playing my Genesis again I'm going to play through that.
Championship Pro-Am is pretty good as well, although if you've already got RC-Pro Am on the NES, skip it, since it's just a 16-bit update of that (notably, instead of spelling "Nintendo," you spell "Championship").

It depends on what you like. If you like platformers and shooters there's lots of good titles for the system.
For RPGs other than Phantasy Star 2-4, Shining in the Darkness, Shadowrun, and Beyond Oasis there isn't that much for the system.
If you like stretegy/RPGs Warsong and Shining Force 1 and 2 are good.

I *love* this game:
<bad photo file removed>
THE IMMORTAL by Electronic Arts
Great isometric questing game. Lovely music. And gory death scenes. Keep your Mortal Kombats. This game has you cleaving orcs in two - lengthwise! O_O
I'll second Marty's vote for Boogerman. What a wild gross-out platformer. And how about a little love for "The Ooze?"
Cant see the game SNIDE what is it?

best genny game based on Sci-Fi. It's glorious.
Oh, Sniderman, my fiancee wants to know if you ever got past the spores in "The Immortal". She loves the game to death but can't seem to get past that bit.

Yup, I've won at the game a few times WITHOUT the use of walkthroughs and/or cheats, thankyewverymuch. :D Been awhile since I last played it, so I can't quite remember the context of that scene. And if she thinks that screen is hard. Wait'll she has to float through the sewers on a barrel. One wrong turn, and game ends. Took me months to finally get the timing correct.
