Sorry if this is a stupid question.

What is the difference between a Megadrive and a Genesis?

yeah it was called Megadrive in Europe and Japan. They were gonna call it megadrive in the US, but the name was already taken. I wonder what took it ?

i dont know about territorial lockouts.... most pal systems will only play pal games and most us systems will only play us games...plus, most pal systems wont even work on our us tvs

I've got several PAL Megadrive games:
Super Fantasy Zone
Turbo Outrun
Wonderboy III: Monster Lair
Super Hang-On

They all work fine on my US Genesis.
