Alrighty I have a question.
I have a Sega Saturn but want to play imports on it. Would I have to mod the Saturn? Or could I just buy a japanese Saturn? What are my options here? :hmm:
Also, if I bought a Japanese Saturn would i need any particular power cords or anything for it?

Been discussed many many many times. Try to utilize the search feature.
St Key, Action Replay, and a few other modchips will all work. The go in the cartridge slot. No modding required.

Look up Funkbuddy in the form and ask him if he has some Action Replay 4-in-1 left for sale.
Once you have one of those youre all set to play most Japanese imports.

without going mod route getting JPN Saturn with import acrt would be the way to go as that way you can play certin import titles with their own ROM cart.
and when you get around to it install 50/60Hz switch assuming you have TV that supports 50/60Hz of course.

I gots the Full Meel Deel muthas!!
White Japanese "Video CD" enabled Saturn, with modchip (to play backups of my games) and switchless region mod (hit reset, its US, hit reset again, it's JP). It is freeekin SCHWEEET! LOL It looks totally unmodded, but is modded to the nines!
I have a 4 in 1 too. I don't like it, so I only put it in for games that need RAM expansion.

yep I also have fully mod'd PAL Saturn with both country and 50/60 switches.
I also have white Saturn shell although haven't had time to get around to transplant...
for RAM cart i use JPN 1M and 4M RAM carts I picked up while I was in Japan.
