Here is the crowning jewel in my (admittedly extremely limited) collection:

http://www.ameritech.net/users/tkamenick/Lunar.jpg

Every Lunar game ever released in the United States :) (If I'm missing any, let me know lol)

Lunar Silver Star for Sega CD (mint)
Lunar II Eternal Blue for Sega CD (mint)
Lunar: The Silver Star Story Complete for PSX (near mint... box is a little rough but everything inside is gorgeous) That's the one on top btw, the bottom one is my personal keeper
Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete for PSX (mint and the stuff in the Omake box is still sealed)
Lunar Legends for GBA (sealed)

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay =D

This beauty is going to fund my video game addiction for the next few years if I'm lucky hehe. I have a second Lunar:SSSC, and a second Lunar:EBC on the way, so I won't be without my Lunar goodness after I sell these.

So here's the question.

What do you think I can get for the whole set?

On ebay somebody sold just the two PSX games complete, and NOT SEALED for $300!!! He also included saved games (which I will do to- at all the good (and naughty) spots in both games. He also had Breath of Fire 3 complete, but that's only a $30-40 game.

Sold separately, I would be able to get about $200-$250 total. I'm thinking of starting bidding at $200 or $250 and setting a BIN of $350.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Ridicule? (Be nice :P)

Workingdesigns fans will do silly thing like paying that much for Lunar. Technically you would be missing some of the label variants. It also kind of depends on how much you payed for them. I've seen Lunar games for all kinds of different price ranges so it's hard to say if you'll make out well on them or not.

Impressive Lunar collection there! How'd you obtain all of them if I may ask?

FantasiaWHT

Both Lunars for PSX I bought at release
Lunar Legends just grabbed at EB for $20
Lunar 1 SCD I found at a thrift store for $8 =D =D =D =D =D
Lunar 2 SCD I got cheap on ebay- $30, and it usually runs $40-50

Anyway to do longer than a 10-day auction? lol :)

oh yeah, missing label variants... Actually how many were there on the PSX for L:SSSC? The two I have have different label variants.

Btw Lunar 1 SCD is label variant 3

I don't think you can do more than 10 day auction. If you want to do like a fixed price auction I think those you can leave up for more than 10 days.

This is just a educated guess, but based on what I've seen on EBay, the fact people will pay more for a complete collection, and assuming all of those are in great conditon, I'd say around 300-400.

I went digging around and found these for ya:

Lunar PSX labels:
http://workingdesigns.com/museum/playstation/ourgames/lunar-sssc/cd_labels/contents.htm

Lunar Sega CD labels:
http://workingdesigns.com/museum/sega_cd/ourgames/lunar-tss/index.html

Hope this helps out.

Why would you want to do > 10 days? Nobody really bids until the last day anyway, any more than a week is just taking longer with no real benefit. The week does give people time to find it I suppose though

Forgot Lunar: Magic School?

Exactly, more time for people to find it.

Suppose I could cut corners and make it clear in the auction that the "first" auction doesn't really count, and I'll start the bidding in the "real" second auction at whatever the first ends at. Lol that might be slightly unethical. Also expensive in listing and final value fees.

Thanks for the Label listings! Looks like I have Set 1 and Set 3. Actually now that I think about it, I remember that neither of the 2 L:SSSC's I have now were the one I originally bought, because that one I'm positive had Set 2 (my personal favorite, although the label itself is kinda a spoiler lol)

Aren't there some more Gameboy titles?

SoulBlazer

No, there are no other Lunar games besides Magic School for GG and that was Japan only.

I have the puppet as well. :D

Unless the prices have been going up, the puppet's usually on ebay frequantly and doesn't sell for very much. $10 or so should nab you one.

The Nall on the other hand... @_@

Why would you want a Cosmic Fantasy collection? Those games are average at best. I could at least see Exile as those are decent action/RPGs.

Yup the 5 Lunar SSSC covers. However if you want to be technical SSSC:Fan Edition is a seperate release, as in its packaging was just a double jewel case, and there was bonus material on the second disc (mostly fan art if I remember correctly). That one has been one hell of a thing to find, as ive been looking for one for my PS WD collection for close to 4 months now and seen not a peep.

There are 2 covers for Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, with the upper set pictured in my signature link being the hard to get/rarer version.

Hey PapStu, do you know where to find pics of all the WD variants for the Sega CD? I'd like to find out which ones I have. I didn't know there were any variants for PS RayCrisis, now I want to find the one that I'm missing! Also, do you know which one of them is the rarest? I have the more colorful one on the right. Personally, I think it's evil that WD makes so many variants and yet they give no indication on the outside of the package which one is included in the box. Makes it a nightmare to find them all in new condition!

$10 is cheap for pretty much any sealed game, not sure why you'd want to play any Lunar game in Japanese though. (Unless you read Japanese anyway). But if you're really concerned about seeing whether the game is good or bad first I would download the GameGear rom and try out the first couple chapters or so in english (that's about all that's translated anyway).

http://donut.parodius.com <--- you can find the patch there.

I probably rate it a little bit below average and loading times weren't that good. It's kind of one of games that it's better just to collect for yourself than it is to play. If you want just try out the GG rom and see if you really want to buy it.
