Anyone played the Lynx version?

Chris

I have played ALL the versions and the Lynx was good but the graphics were messed up, The best ones are the Masters collection one and the TOP one over ALL the Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack which alot of games were in it INCLUDING the last version of chips challenge which was the best above all!!!!!

Still have it sealed for the lynx in the closet...haven't played it yet. I usually don't open sealed games. No matter how common or what not.

i bought a copy of it for my atari lynx from a fellow dp member, but i have yet to open it.someone said it plays like a mario game, but on the back of the box,it looks more like a puzzle game to me.

The lynx game is the greatest. I remember having to write down the level codes on anything I could on a trip to yellowstone when I was a teenager.

Just for the record the lynx version is not like mario at all. It is a puzzle based push the block kind of game(on lynx anyway)

I didn't even know you could get it for windows. Man I WISH I had a copy of it.

Geez, I think a version of the game came free with our pentium 1 some years ago. I remeber it being problem sloving/puzzle solving oriented rather then anything like Mario. But it was pretty fun.

I played it, pipes dreams, and jezz ball a lot at the time.

Same here, when my parents bought our 486 PC (a Compaq Presario CDS 524 to be exact), this was one of the games that came with it. It quickly became my favourite, so when I started collecting Lynx games this year, this was the first one I bought. Unfortunately the Lynx' graphics aren't too pretty, and the music isn't as great as CANYON.MID on the PC version, but it's very convenient to have it on a "portable" system.

What amazes me most is the enormous diversity of the levels. There are only a dozen or so building blocks, plus maybe five different monsters, but still each level has its own special "theme" to it, each level seems completely different from the ones before. The most astonishing feature is that they managed to make 144 X_x of them...

Yea, it's a puzzle game not a Mario type game. I first got it for my Lynx way back when. I've always really liked the game and thought that the Lynx version was great...

I never heard of this game before my wife told me about it. When she was younger, she used to play if all the time in her dad's office on his computer. :D

The 1st one I had played was the Bset of windows when I was 5 on my grandma's old computer then I was able to beat all 149 levels and then I was looking for the other versions so I can play them, then my grandma's computer crashed and I was not able to play the last CC game for a while till I found It on a web site that I was able to download it for free!

http://www3.telus.net/~nfield/ChipChallenge/chip.htm

The link above is the best CC web site out there! It has info from the game, they have web sites there where you can download the best of windows which has the last CC game, hints tips and passwords, info on glitches, EVEN A CCLP2 (CHIPS CHALLENGE LEVEL PACK 2) which is completely NEW LEVELS which I have played and ITS COOL!!!!!!!!!! And if you ever dreamed about making a CC level or alot of levels on the web site they have a CHIPS CHALLENGE LEVEL EDITER so you can make your own levels!!!!!!!!!!!! LOTS MORE TOO!

CHIPS CHALLENGE LIVES ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to play this on a Windows 95 computer I believe.

Just recently I got it for the Lynx as I enjoyed it so much. It was sealed but I opened it to play as I know I can get more sealed copies for $5.

Great game for sure though. Has nothing to do with Mario. LOL

another CC website,

http://www.geocities.com/fishofgold/index.html

another cool site

also there are two level 88's called SPIRALS as most at the time were corrupt and few were fixed, the corrupt version was almost impossible but was able to be beaten the non corrupt version was way easer!

Plus level 104 called JAILER has a GP falt error that if you step on 1 of the 4 keys when a pink ball hits on it at the same time it gets messed up and I tried it before and it was cool at first but then the CC data went NUTS!!!!!
Good thing I had a back up or I would had to start from level 1!!!!

Has anyone experience glitches or problems on CC???????
