Hi,
I'm looking to get another Intellivision system as the old one is starting to get screwed up. Anyhow, does anyone here with Intellivision experience know which system is best to get? I know for instance that the Intgellivision II doesn't Play all Intellivison games. What about the Intellivision III? Is the Intellivision III a better choice than the I or II?
Also, does anyone know of any good sites that sell these systems fairly cheaply?
Any info is appreciated
Thanks
John

oh i love my intellivision! i have the second one i think (it is smaller and beige) and it works very well even after all of these years. there are a few games that do not work i've been told that certain titles (coleco?) will not work but otherwise everything is in tip-top shape.

For maximum compatibility get a woodgrain 1 or 3. An INTV2 uses a proprietary external PS. INTV2 controllers are not repairable either. The only advantages to a biege INTV2 are that the controllers are removable without taking the unit apart, and it works with the "System Changer" add -on without an internal modification.
I am auctioning off this one here: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=802513557&rd=1
but it may not go that cheap. My last few refurbs have gone into the ~$80USD range.
I can likely fix yours, depending on what's wrong with it. Whatever you do, don't toss it out. I may be willing to buy it from you if it's not working right. PM or e-mail me if you llike.

these guys repaired my intv II, and their prices, while not real low, you are pretty much guaranteed that you will get a nice working intv. And you have someone that will work it out with you if something goes wrong. Also, I have bought a few game from them, all which worked well. I LOVE my intellivision II. I have the Entertainment Computer System as well. It's pretty cool as there a few programs that you can stretch your basic skills on. Anyway, check out this link below to learn more...
