Rare or not rare that is the question

I picked up an original Genesis model this weekend that had the A/V cable instead of an R/F unit. This is only the second time I've seen the cord in the wild and was wondering if they were just as rare elsewhere as they seem to be in my area.

Opinions??

They seem to be pretty rare in the wild, but easily found on ebay for $6-8 any time you want them.

They were sold separately, but I believe Turbo Duo, Neo Geo, & C64 to name a few used the same style 5/8 pin DINs for AV. As well as the original SMS. So there were many possibilities to find cables outside of official one.

Yep, if it weren't for my duo, I wouldnt be able to play the SMS with av cables. Just recently ordered another pair off ebay so I don't have to switch em out...

Genesis RF boxes, geh...I've got at least two of the buggers for Genesis 2 systems, don't want any more. I have a nice stereo A/V cable, but I bought it specially for my system.
