Today I've received two second chance offers for items that I'm bidding on ebay. Here's the funny part, the auctions haven't even finished yet. After reading abouyt BuyAtari's strange offer and now this I'm convinced that this is come new scam thats gonna be filling out mailboxes with bogus offers. Be aware.

you would think the scammers would at least wait until the auction is over before they start sending stuff like that out....i mean, if they are out to rip people off, at least try and do it the right way....not that i want them to get good at it, but you would think they would try a little harder

I posted this info in Buyatari's thread as well, but I thought you may not have seen it...
As an ebay member who has actually purchased an item on a second chance offer, I'd thought I'd share my experience to help prevent scams like qweertyyyy's from taking place ever again.
When a second chance offer is created, an actual auction is created by ebay listing the item (with a new item#) at a BIN for the second chance price. The auction remains open for 24 hours and only the second chance offeree can purchase the item.
So the alleged second chance offer sent by qweertyyyy clearly is clearly fraudulent in that it only references the original auction and not any new auction created for the second chance offer.
Hope this helps and prevents this from happening again.
