For portable gamers - universal battery recharger

Saw this thing in Sky Mall (one of those crappy in-flight magazines with junk for sale) during vacation, and I vowed I'd bring this to everybody's attention (eventually).

Best part? It's quite cheap (note that link doesn't show the product anymore), and it may soon pay for itself. Everybody who finds themselves picking up packs of batteries on occassion should seriously consider this as a purchase, IMO.

yea, me either....for a person who does a lot of portable gaming...or just someone that uses a lot of batteries...that could be a pretty wise investment....batteries tend to cost a lot if you have to keep buying them

I have it - you can charge alkaline batteries about 10 times before they leak. Good way to save money. Charges NiCad too.

I bought a similar one of these back around 93 or 94. It didn't work very well for hence I no longer have it. But if they are still selling I might have been wrong about how well it works.
