I'm reading about the game Breakdown on this one website, and I must say, it's one of THE most innovative concepts I've seen in a while. The entire game takes place through the eyes of the protagonist, as is my understanding. Even the cutscenes are seen from your own POV. I hear that it gets boring in a few areas, but when it's not mundane, it's all-out awesome. I've also seen screenshots of the game... good stuff. Also, Alex, your AI helper, is actually extremely useful, which is practically a first in any game I've heard of. Nope, the marines from Halo don't count. Those jackasses keep getting into my line of fire. LOL

Anyway, to top it all off, the game is made by one of my favorite developers ever, Namco. It's also only about $20-$30, and I need to build my XBOX collection. Still, I'd like to hear a few more opinions on it. Anyone play this yet?

I picked it up awhile back for 19.99 at a local target store. All in all it's a rather mediocre at best game. True the graphics are good and the store is pretty interesting. Though the game play was sooo generic and blah I thought.

You should just maybe rent it first and see if you like it.

XBN says they like using their long dormant Punch-Out! skills "in the right setting." They don't like "amnesia as a plot device, as effective as it might be." LOL

I acquired the import and it is a so-so game. The graphics are really nice and they did a nice job of really making it feel first person (unlike most fps') but your character's model looks pretty dumb I think like when you see it in a mirror and it has mediocre play. If you like Akira and can find it cheap, it might be a nice play.
