Wow, what a great weekend! Thanks so much everyone for making me feel right at home. I'm really glad I was able to stay both days this year-it really made a difference. I enjoyed revisiting with some old faces, while meeting new folks as well.

Joe, you rock :)

If you come back next year, I promise to bring nail polish to use on the Leias.

Definitely the best time I've ever had. It was great meeting so many new forum members. I even had fun setting up and cleaning up...yes thats right, I said I had fun killing my body. LOL

Everything seemed like it went so smooth, didn't it? It was great :)
I'll have to sit down and write up my official POV of the whole show today.

I just wanted to say I had a great time this year in San Jose for three reasons:

First and foremost, THEPEOPLE! It was great to see a lot of people who I may not have had long amounts of time to chat with (from ApolloBoy to Jerry Jessop to ianoid to MayhemUK to punkoffgirl to RangerG to ubersaurus and more) but who I was very happy to see and who all seemed to be in great spirits. It was ESPECIALLY great to kick it with VidGameKing for lunch, CPUWIZ and hhwolfman at the show, the latter two plus Rick Weis and Mrs. hhwolfman in a wild evening of pool, drinking and stories. CPUWIZ earns an extra special commendation for not only cutting me great deals on some of his boxed games but for being dead on in his recommendations, from checking out the boardwalk in Santa Cruz to drinking/eating at Gordon-Biersch (we did both on Monday) but that's not meant to slight anybody else in any way - EVERYBODY rocked, whether they were named or not!

Secondly I have to go out of my way to thank the DP people for making the AAers feel warmly welcomed. I won't make hay out of this simply because there's no need to, other than to say that it was clear for both the organizers and the attendees that games came first and politics second. I hope our strong presence at the show this year is the first step towards "burying the hatchet" because it seems clear to me that there's opportunities to bring our hobby closer together based on the goodwill and camraderie at this show. I'd really like to see that happen, and I'll do my part by going to as many different shows as Mrs. MMF and I can attend and continuing to be "ambassadors of gaming" not just for any one site but the community as a whole. Special thanks to Joe for going out of his way to find me and say hi, and to John for making me laugh and smile with his boyish Tony Soprano charm - yes I'm serious about that.

Third I want to say I got a GREAT HAUL from the con.:D It may not be all about games, but it's sure nice to bring a lot of classics home to play! Thanks to one and all and to the state of California for a g-r-r-r-reat time! As I said to the Mrs when we were laying on the beach in Santa Cruz with the waves of the ocean lapping at our feet, "I could get used to this!

Hmph, I never actually got around to saying hi to you, Janice... At least I was there to wave goodbye when you left though (I was the fat guy in the "Foul" T-shirt). You missed the fun moving tables and breaking couches!

It was nice meeting Jamie, Karl, Nick, Dave, Adrienne, Mat, etc etc etc... I also didn't realize Betty was "Eternal Tune" or I might have said hi, and I whiffed on meeting CPU Wiz too, as I didn't recognize him while I was there. Sorry for not officially meeting Marty too, now that I think of it... Oh well.
