Anyone get BMX XXX yet?

If so, is the game any good. Of course, I won't be buying it anyway. I had planned to, but the game company caved at the last minute and the PS2 version is censoring out all of the good bits. And, to be honest, I was only going to buy it for the boobies.

Ironically, the uncensored version is being released on Xbox and GAMECUBE! yeah that makes sense.

I think I'll snag this eventually because I see it as being an interesting conversation piece. But I'm definitely curious as to what others think about it on it's own merits.

I thought the PS2 was coming out with 2 different versions one censored and one not but I guess that was just a rumor. I'm sure that it will have codes to unlock all the boobies! :smash:

We got the Xbox version for work and it isn't that good. You have to unlock anything that is racy at all and we can't seem to force ourselves to play it long enough. The animation is terrible.

This game is great fun!

It's a nice change of pace fom he average bicycling/skater game. It plays more like a courier/mission based game. Instead of having to do constant stunts, or collect silly inane things it's more funny stuff like picking up hookers, and delivering them to their pimps.

The game is in no way linear, and you can pick which task you want to accomplish by simply talking to whoever has an icon above their head on the streets.

Here's an example at how missions play out:

I had to get a bum some aluminum cans so he could cash them in, and buy himself a hotdog "btw, he talks in a mumble type way so you have to read the captions, the voice-work is complete chesse, and made me lmao!", he places a basket on the back of my bike, and I have a minute to find all 10. I find all the cans, he takes them, and runs off, it cuts to him entering a building. It shows inside the building, and he has his hotdog, and a blowtorch to cook it, heh. He goes to torch the hotdog, but drops the torch, and catches the building on fire which in turn cuts to a firetruck coming to the scene, but his hose is limp, and no water is coming out, then you must help the fireman.


End example.


The game plays out in a very orchastrated, and funny way, but it's not linear as you could go do any mission, and do the firetruck later, it's all up to you, which is great.

The game has GREAT ATMOSPHERE! Pigeons sit on rails, a vendor yells "get you hot salty nutsacks here", and their are other skaters, bikers, and patrons a plenty. Also people respond to you not only by ideal chit-chat, cause if you run one over they will either say they will cut your throat "pimp", tell mommy "kid", or please don't crack my nuts "vendor."

The missions range from destroying vendors so the mighty "weiner king" can rule, to collecting coins to enter Scores "a strip joint", so you can see ladies strip. The missions are aplenty, and have plenty of variety, and more than enough to keep you entertained, I just scratched the surface a bit in this thread.

This game has "GTA" influence written all over it, and quite honestly it works not only cause of the mature themes, but because it's fun! I didn't expect to like this game at all, I was wrong, it's fresh, and has plenty to keep you entertained!

BHvrd has the only good review I've seen so far. I haven't read much about it, but most people/reviews have just blown it off as "that game with tits" I haven't heard ANYONE else say "What a great game! Oh yeah, there's nudity too!"

Unfortunately, whether it's good or not, it's going to sell...

I played it at a friends house for Xbox,and didn't think it was too bad.It supports the custom soundtrack,which is way cool and is just plain fun.It plays better than most of the other bmx games out there and even without the boobs would still be good.I might buy it later on.Might. :roll: :D ;)

I won't be getting the DOA volleyball game if for no other reason than I don't have an XBox. Maybe I should get one? I saw a flyer that this weekend some place (Toys R Us, I think) is offering that deal where you get the XBox, two games...plus a steering wheel for $200. Not bad. In the meantime, I am playing Beach Spikers which is a lot of fun....I'm currently playing it with Ulala on one of my teams...

Recent press conference by some group of what looks to be Priests and Parents called for the banning of this game blurbed on TV. Wanting major retailers to not stock this game. A younger guy went on to explain that they really only mean the GC and XB versions. Stating the MA rating ment nothing to keep it out of younger hands.

then again i see another story on Yahoos most popular. Just might pick this game up if it's onsale somewhere, just for keepers.

I rented BMXXX, it sucked. It was funny to it's target audience, 14 year old boys. I dropped in the code and looked at the stripper clips, which were fine, but a little short. I tried playing it and getting the medals to open the nude rider ability, but I couldn't get past it. The missions in the levels don't teach you how to play, they just make you run around and pick stuff up. By the time I got to the first contest, I was doing my best and only scoring in the 70's when I needed to be in the 90's to win. The animations were terrible and the control left something to be desired. I was going to get this game for the conversation piece element, but after playing it, feh, why bother?

I was really wanting to buy this game when it came out & after reading nothing but bad reviews, I decided to rent it instead.

I'm glad I did, because it was pretty horrible. I'm not a huge BMX game fan, but I thought this game had a twisted enough premise to interest me.

I used the "XXX RATED CHEAT" as well to unlock the stripper clips & even those disappointed me. Not that I was expecting hard-core porn, but only 3 or 4 of those clips contained any nudity & it was all above waist. I can only imagine the pain of unlocking those clips without the cheat for such a small return.

Overhyped game of the year.
