Any events in Central Florida?

Are there ever any events scheduled in Central Florida? I have not heard of anything ever advertised and was just wondering if I'm not "hanging out with the cool kids" and out of the loop.

Before I left Central Florida, I had wanted to start some kind of event there. Unfortunately, it never even got to the planning stages. As far as I know, there are no events that take place in the south at all, let alone Florida.
