I am looking to get some Wario games like Wario Land and just wanted to now which Wario Land is the best for purchase? And besides the Virtual Boy one, i dont have a VB yet :grumble:

The original Wario Land (aka Super Mario Land 3) is by far the best Wario game ever produced (with the possible exception of Wario Ware, Inc.). The rest of them were sort of "meh."

Make sure you collect all the treasures!

I thought the second one was pretty good. The original was still a little rough around the edges. (Collecting 9999 coins in order to get the best ending was a bit of a chore.) It's something of a toss-up between those two, I suppose.

I still haven't tried Wario Land 3, but Wario Land 4 was a little too easy, despite looking quite pretty.

I have to say, comparing Wario Land 1 and 4 (The only ones I've played), I'd go with 1 for pure playability. Perhaps it's just nostalgia for playing the game for several years off and on, but it's one fun game. I give it one and a half thumbs up, since you may be a little turned off by the fact it's not in color.

Beware of "Wario Ware Inc."

It's the most infectious game I've ever picked up.

I'm curious to see how my "Paper Plane" and "Skating Board" scores match up against other board members...

Wario Land 1. Was one of the most addicting games I ever played on my friends game boy. That and double dragon.

I liked the first Wario Land most...4 was pretty fun though.

And then you got Wario Blast, and that's just 6 levels of greatness.

I didn't like all that cartoony flimsy-floating and all that other nonsense that they made you do in 4. Besides, they took out the jet wario and dragon wario and bull wario suits, which I loved.

It was cool however to have all those secret areas sprinkled around. But that was the only thing I thought was cooler.

All 5 Wario Land games, (That's including the VB one.) are great games and are worth getting. You should start out with the first one, as that's usually considered the best one.

Wario's Woods is also an interesting puzzle game. And Wario Ware is one of the best GBA games. Wario Blast is a Bomberman game, where Bomberman squares off against Wario. Or Wario"s" in this case, as I seem to remember multiple Warios running around in that game. It was a very very strange decision of Nintendo and Hudson to make that game.

Well, evidently Game Boy Bomberman sales just weren't cutting it at the time.

What really bites is that even though it does have 4-player support, you need a Super Game Boy and an SNES Multitap in order to use it.

I'm pretty sure you can do a 4 gameboy linkup with wario blast...it's just easier to do the SNES thing.

WARIO LAND (SUPER MARIO LAND 3) is the best. I played that game for MANY hours. I love the ending with the genie and throwing the magic lamp around. LOL
