Before anybody gets their hopes up, I am HOPEFULLY not selling. I have a near complete SMS collection missing only 4 titles, BUT I am also having some money trouble at the moment. I think I can work it all out with out selling any of my collection, and it will be a month before I know for sure. but if I do end up needing money, ....

I have a complete Buster Douglous and a complete Super Monaco GP that may have to go to market.

How much is anyone willing to pay for these? As for condtion, both carts are excellent, The instructions are in good condition, but the corners and/or sides are bent a little. They Still have all the pages and haven't been written on or in. The boxes are near perfect EXCEPT that the hanging tag has been cut off by whoever owned them before me. They are good solid items. Hopefully (for me anyway) it won't come to selling. Being so close myself I would hate to have to let go of one or two of the hardest to find US titles, but as mentioned before, if I can't work a little financial magic and need to do this, what would I be offered?

Hey Garry, if you decide to sell off a few games for some quick cash I could really use a complete Dick Tracy, Slap Shot or Sonic ;D.

02-24-2005, 06:27 PM
As mentioned before, hopefully the second job I picked up will pull me out of the fire, if not, I'll keep you in mind for Dick Tracy.... the other 2 however were on my list of unacquired as well. I should get around to adding my such info to my DP list.

When?

Two days ago. Don't know why you did not received my PM. How much do you ask for the Space Harrier box and Marksman Shooting/ Trap Shooting manual? PM me.

@Garry Silljo: well I hope you have good luck with the 2nd job. If in a month you still have financial issues let me know, I can make a reasonable offer for those two games, I want them, as you know those are the remaining titiles I need to complete the collection. Tynstar needs a some titles too so you have two sure deals with us.

got Super Monaco GP on an auction this weekend, now I just need the JBD Kayo Boxing. I also deleted from the list some manuals and boxes found recently.

I am also currently interested in complete European/Brazilian/Australian SMS games, If you have a spare complete Euro/Brazilian/Aussie SMS game PM me as I am interested. Thanks again.

Congrats on super monaco. All I need is Sonic. Where'd you get your copy? I've never been able to find a complete US Sonic...I have a feeling I may never. Do you by any chance have an extra Wonderboy III manual?

Thanks Hellvin :) I got my copy here at DP, but I don't remember who was the guy that sold me that game. Sheesh, I have the very same feeling for the James Douglas game, I am mostly sure that you will find that game. I had a complete WBIII but traded it a few months ago, sorry man. :embarrassed: If I find a Sonic I will help you on that. Same with the manual. :)

Does your Sonic have a sticker on the back for a barcode? Nice find on that one. How about your Spiderman? Mine doesn't, but it was sold to me by a US seller. Anyhow, good luck on JBD, I have a feeling it's gonna be a pretty penny for that one =\. I paid 90 for mine and I feel like I got a steal considering some of the prices I've seen it go for. Phew.

If anyone has a complete mint condition sonic for the sms, I would buy it for $200. It must be the usa version. Did sonic 2 come out for the sms in the usa? Sega.com has it listed in sonic central for coming out in the usa.

WOW. You must really want this game. I've given up, I think my only chance is maybe finding one in the wild. Sonic 2 never came out. In my Sega Visions though, they do have US reviews for Pat Riley Basketball & Lucky Dime Caper but as far as I know, they never saw the light of day in the US.

Policenaut,

Great job man! My hat off to you. I wonder if you are the first to have a complete collection? Excellent job on Sonic most of all.

I too am going for the complete collection, but have a LONG way to go! Luckily I have some of the rarer ones out of the way. A couple more rarities and quite a few commons.

When the $$$ start flowing in (in the summer) I'll will resume work on my SMS collection.

I am with Hellvin on this one. Anyone that would pay 200+ for a sticker is crazy.

Thanks for your words guys, it is just a dream come true. I am not done yet on SMS, this console has broaden it's horizons for me. I have mixed feeling with this; first, I feel really happy and sad to some extent to achieve this, the SMS is the console I love the most. I feel sad because there were soooooo much good titles that weren't released here. But for that reason I feel happy that I can still hunt SMS around the globe.

I can say that Sonic was by far, the hardest to get, and it is the most expensive at this moment. I paid 33.96 for Buster Douglas, but for Sonic was way lot more. Ghouls n' Ghosts was the other that was hard to find, as well as Golden Axe Warrior.

@ testament: I am interested :D , shoot me a PM with price and we will work on that. ;)

PM me with a rough price of what the most you'd pay for each title is. I see complete SMS stuff all the time, so can pick it up quite easily. I currently know sellers locally that have 100's of titles between them, most are £4 max as they have no real clue on values.

Postage is around £6 for 6 games by surface mail. That takes around 4 weeks to the US from the UK. Air mail prices are just stupid.

I was wondering if you had a list of TecToy games. Also curious to know how rare Rainbow Islands by TecToy is. I'm looking to buy one and am not sure what to offer. If you access www.digitpress.com/lists you can get a Lite version of the SMS Non-US games. On that list you can get the releases from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong and Japan. My selection of TecToy is a bit short, like 19 or so games. Mostly the hacked versions and a few games with cardboard box. Regarding Rainbow Islands or Bubble Bobble, there is always something in Ebay UK. Rainbow Islands tends to fetch a bit more than BB although they are not that hard to find, both are like an R3 or something like that. If you spot any game or manual I will appreciate it a lot. :) Also, if I spot a good RA or BB with a good price I'll PM ya.

The best list online at the moment is probably VGR's (though it doesn't yet include all of the re-releases): http://vgrebirth.org/games/search.asp?keywords=&platforms=18&regions=8&x=35&y=7

Naturally, DP's list will just as good if not better once the next update is online ;)
