I think global gladiators has as blue background

There's a pic of Global Gladiators in my current Found & Lost (http://www.digitpress.com/columns/foundandlost.htm) column. It has a blue background, but there's a green slime monster taking up a lot of it, so it's kinda blue and green.

You got a point.
A good point. That monster in the background takes up a lot of the actual box art, so he could have mistaken the background as green if he took a quick glance.

Actually I'm not sure if it was either of those. Seemed to be solid green I think... I'll go to the store tomorrow and find out.

The only one that comes to mind is Todd's Adventures in Slime World, but that's close to the end of the alphabet, not the beginning.
