Tonight I couldn't stand watching the Olympics and mourn the sad state of German track and field, and I switched to Pulse on G4TV.

They covered CGE very nicely, it was mouth-watering. Short interviews with the four Activision founders/programmers, with Dan and Garry Kitchen, and an interview with a not very well-known guy I never heard of. The subtitle said 'Joe Santulli, co-founder and organizer.' Who the hell is that guy? :)

It was great to see something from the show. I hope G4TV shows some some more in-depth look. Wouldn't it be great if they showed a nice summary of the panels in a 30 minute show?

So THAT's what show it was from...I was racking my brain all weekend trying to think of what show that chick was from. Pulse sounded right, but I wasn't sure.

I'll have to check it out.

Does anyone have a clue who the "TBS" crew was? I was interviewed from them but forgot to ask when/what it was and when it was going to air.

doh.

and I slap myself for not saying my favorite game of all time was Galaga.

Doh again.

well, they won't ^^...i caught the camera crew saturday morning getting their stuff from the reg booth, asking about it and he said they were just filiming for a Pulse segment, no other shows. 2003 they filmed an episode of Filter there (for their Top 10 All time Old School Console Games episode) and in 2002, G4TV.com was there filming for a segment of their show (with me on there waxing poetically about cliff hanger ;)...

Who knows when there is going to be a repeat. Or better yet who wants to throw it on a VHS for me? :-P I will pay shipping and forthe tape.

I echo the sentiment. Could someone please send me the Pulse episode with CGE?

Any form is fine! I mean it! (tape, dvd, FTP, steam) Include s the commercials too if there are any. Just so that G4 can feel good about it.

I watched the short segment and, surprisingly, I was in the very first shot of the main room. I was excited, especially since they didnt show too many people in the background - they always seemed to be in uncrowded areas or next to a game or something.

Did they have any footage of the old Nintendo stuff? I could have been in the background...

I don't remember any shots of anything Nintendo, but maybe I missed it. I watched it the first time it came on, and when I came across it the second time I was too busy looking for any possible shots of me to look for anything else. :embarrassed:

Just so you guys know, there's suppost to be an article or something in a few months in Synth (I think that was it) magazine on CGE... and I should be in the photos. :D

Same here. I asked the guy and asked him when. His response was

"I don't know, I'm just the PR guy"

I'll try to get the Tivo hooked up to my PC for a video capture of the segment. It'll be a lot easier (and cheaper) than mailing out a bunch of tapes ;)
