Well, I'm no expert on Japanese releases, but someone has to be. I won this on eBay just because, well, it was cheap and seemed like an interesting addition to my collection....

Just the box and the manual, but at 3.99 shipped...I figured it was worth a gamble at finding the Japanese Game Boy cheap.

Well, after looking over the US release, I noticed the model numbers are the same.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's ANY difference in the US and Japanese original Game Boy's? Even slight differences such as writing on the back of the system. I know the US versions have the 1-800 sticker for NOA on some that can be easily removed but that's all I have so far.

So...any differences?

"Handy Game Machine" LOL

I dunno why that gives me a chuckle. Curious after looking at that box, what did the japanese release come packed with? I can't read Japanese, but it almost looks like it came with the battery pack looking at the back of the box and no tetris packin

Well, from what I can figure looking through the manual, those are only acessories on the back...and it came with the system and headphones. Can anyone confirm this?
