I've heard of replacing connectors and cleaning/bending the original connector, but I've never personally heard of this method before.

One thing's for sure ... makes it real easy to tell which units have been refurbed and which haven't!

That seems a little hardcore and slightly destructive to our old friend the toaster. I think paying the 10$ for a new connector would help keep the nintendo gods more pleased than case cutting. :D

Seems kinda silly to deystroy the value of your nes and make it all ugly.
I don't see how its going to fix the nintendo anymore then just replacing the pin normally. All it is going to do is down the road when your NES does get dirty its gonna be a bitch and a half to clean.
