I'll assume that it became E for Everyone. No need for both of them.

Yep, K-A just changed into E at one point. They mean the same thing.

I thought K-A was a part of the rating system Sega used for their games? MA-13 was also a part of this system, as well as a few others. I don't think it was ever an ESRB rating.

K-A was changed to E a few years back. The ESRB site lists all K-A games as rated E now. The old Sega rating was GA (general audiences).

Yup, around '96 or '97 it changed. There are a bunch of early N64 and PSX games with the K-A rating before they made the switch. I imagine "K-A" was a little too confusing for stupid people. :/ Also, later on they made a design switch for the ESRB rating boxes, but that didn't change the ratings themselves.

Yeah, I think they just made it easier by puting E for Everyone instead of K-A
