I have been trying to buy Christmas nights for several
months. The domestic version is always too expensive.

I am thinking about getting the import version since it is much cheaper

Which should I buy?

Keep in mind I don't speak Japaneze and I buy games for
playability so resale value means nothing to me.

I have bought import games before and have gotten frustrated
because i couldn't figure it out.

should I spend the extra $$$ and get the domestic version?

The domestic is going for $30 and the import for $10 on ebay

Gee, I wish the US version would hurry up and become even more valuable. I just happen to have a complete extra copy that I'd be willing to part with, but $30 - $40 isn't exactly what I'd call a great price to sell at, even if I did get it free. Let me know when they're going for $100 or more, then I'll sell.

The Japanese version does look very nice in the jewel case. Were those ever given away sealed and complete with a spine card too? If they were, then I might be willing to trade my extra US version for a sealed Japanese version.

I wouldn't say "given away," but all Saturn games (maybe there's a couple exceptions...) had a spine card.

Well looks like I just missed a sealed one for only $11 BIN on ebay a few days ago. Guess that wouldn't be a good trade after all. Wouldn't make any sense.

I have one but it doesn't have a sleeve. Is it worth much without the sleeve?

I'm sooo glad that I hung onto mine. I got it when it was given away with whatever US game magazine had it as a pack in back in, what, 1995 or something? I have it with the sleeve too.

Yay for me.

Actually, I remember seeing some of those boxed...I don't think they're going upwards of $40-$50 yet, but I could be wrong. Now would be the time to get one if they are still at that price (or less).

Believe it... US Christmas NiGHTS will NEVER hit triple figure on a consistent basis. Or ever, PERIOD.

$30-$40 should be good enough for one to let it go, especially if they have another copy around. Me though, I have only one and don't see myself ever selling or trading it. Hell of a cool little thing from the Sega lads.
