is anyone playing this? how do you get the smell and bone from that high cliff behind the waterfall?

I noticed this in the ps2 section today at work before I left. How is it? Do you just pretty much hang around and sniff other dogs? Looked interesting.

No, it's fun. I haven't sniffed a dog butt yet :P I have controlled some of their brains and got them to bring me bones.
Different stuff to do, reminds me of Ghostmaster for some reason but totally different game.
You use your smellovision to sniff out different scents and find puzzles. Collecting different scents like blue or violet unlocks other mini games.

You don't get hit by a car, the cars stop, although sometimes the people gripe 'aw come on!'. When someone did that I pooped, picked it up, and threw it in their car window. That will teach them.
Oh and I picked up a cat trying to take it somewhere and accidentally threw it against a wall, it got confused and walked around in a circle for 10 minutes. oops

Some of it is silly, like being able to gamble (look ma, no quarters OR thumbs!) but I like games that are a little outside the box. Like Everblue and Animal Crossing, etc so this game is great for me

It's gotten a US release?! QoF was so up for getting this game but couldn't because it was PAL only. So when it did come out in the US? I'll have to let her know (assuming she doesn't see this thread).

It must have a U.S. release as I've seen it listed in a couple recent U.S. gaming magazines. I don't suppose you get to pick what breed of dog y ou are? I'd rather be a collie. Maybe next year we can get a game where we control a cat? That's what I'd really like...

It doesn't sound bad for $20. Now that I think about it, there really aren't many games that let you play as a dog. I'll probably pick this one up soon.

My local EBWorld tells me that their systems show that they aren't going to carry this game for whatever reason. My local Gamestop says that their systems show that the game's ETA was over a week ago yet they haven't received any and don't know if they will.

What's the story with this game's availability?

I picked it up at Best Buy on Saturday. $19.99. the flinging poo part is kind of funny. I stopped a car jumped up on the hood and dropped a load. immature, sure but hell I'm easily amused. it's also kind of funny watching the poo roll down hills.

I have a question. I'm trying to find the batteries for the guitar player sitting on the dock. his footprints lead to one that looks like it's in a trash can. how do you get it out?

OK, I called ALL OVER TOWN, Gamestop, EB, Sam Goody, Circuit City, Blockbuster, Sears....

....none of them had it.

Then I finally called Best Buy, it's the farthest away, so I hesitated till last. I went to pick it up and had to wait for the guy to pull em from out of the back of the store cause he didn't put them out. He figured there wouldn't be a huge demand on them. LOL

You know what's funny? I was thinking about making a game that had you in control of a dog. But it wouldn't be that you had to save another dog, it was a game where you're in control of a dog and do what you want it to do every day, where it doesn't end until you die or your owners die. You could do anything from chasing your tail, to drinking out of the toilet, to barking at robbers trying to break in, to humping legs. I thought it would be pretty cool.

I stopped by Best Buy today and they had 2 copies at $30 each (Cdn of course) so I figured I'd snag it. Strangely enough, it was printed by a company only 15 minutes from me :) Guess I'm gonna have to go visit the home of the dog poo game makers.

And how IS this game? Is it really fun? I got it mostly for my wife and for the future rarity value on it....looks rather unique.

I just bought it at Walmart (only have 3 copies) for 28.98$ CND ...It's a very simple but fun game. Very well done are the animation of the different dogs. The "smellovision" also is a very cool gimmick (you see in first person thru the eyes of your dog in black'n'white and you can see the smell around you and step trace of other animals/persons)
The free roaming environment is very good looking. The game is cute, easy but seam to be on the short side. I think it's a very good game for kids and womens. It's their genre.

Dont let this one go like I did with Lowrider and Rtype ...this one look like to be an underdog ... ;)

Very well done, graphics and animations are great, although you will roll your eyes at the voices here and there but go figure. It's a great game, for a great price.

When you are on the mountaintop, if the mastiff is on the bridge don't try to jump over him. I landed off the bridge and couldn't move. Stupid game glitch! I had to restart and I had totally completed 3 levels without saving :( I hate that violet scents on the ice thing and now I have to do it (and lots of other stuff) all over again

I think a couple magazines have given it a 7...they do feel it gets a bit repetitive after a level or two as you don't see anything really new after that.
