EDIT: Just added, a great-condition copy of DDR Disney Mix.

Just a couple of commons in the factory seal auction pile this week, Kings of the Beach and Bases Loaded. I can also get a fairly dinged up, but still unbroken seal, Elway Football if anyone's interested, but I'm not currently listing it as I don't think the quality is up to snuff. PM if you're interested.

Also for auction is a circa 1985 Revell Robotech Changers VF-1A model kit. Not strictly videogame related, but still some cool stuff.

Never came out in Japan, infamous for being a US only release which us heathen foreigners never fully appreciated, etc. etc. The sealed in box aspect would command a crazy premium just like boxed US Athenas do.

Which of his games are you referring to? legendary wings? And are you saying the boxed athenas go for more here or in japan? thanks, just wanting to clarify as this is news to me.

Yeah, Legendary Wings, which was the original title of this thread.

I tried to start a new one to sell the new games, since Legendary Wings is now closed, but the mods saw fit to combine the threads. Since it makes no sense to sell Disney DDR in a thread titled 'Legendary Wings' I changed it, but now the comments make no sense.

BUMP. Last day to get your hands on factory sealed copies of Bases Loaded or Kings of the Beach for NES, in great condition. No bids yet on the factory seal NES games, so there's a good opportunity to get them cheap!

In Japan the famicom release of Athena is worth lots of money complete. It came with an audio tape that's pretty hard to come across these days, hence the issue of completeness among collectors there.

So for some reason or another some folks in Japan think that getting the US release in-box is just as good or is as appealing, riding on the infamy of the Japan release I guess. I've seen it go for the equivalent of 20-30 dollars whenever it comes up (ebay) and there are bidders in Japan bouncing on it.

Whenever I tried to get a contact in Japan for trading NES carts for Famicom games, Athena and Friday the 13th frequently came up in mention. None of the bastards wanted to actually trade or get what I wanted, of course. x_x
