I just got Monster Rancher Battle Card Episode II, and I love it. It's the best card game I played since Culdcept, and it doesn't have the merciless computer players. The only thing I hate is the fact that I spent too much time letting the PSone read CDs instead of actually battling.

I haven't tried the other Monster Rancher games, yet but I'm planning on it now. I just noticed that my PSone will allow me to use CD-Rs to create monsters, so I wonder how that will affect me getting rare cards.

Still, I don't know why anyone would want to play Monster Rancher on a system like the Game Boy Advance if you can't read the CDs or DVDs on it.

I played it in the GBA and kinda of liked it. It's a interesting and fun little game. Never tried it in CD based system though. It should be more interesting that way.

Monster Rancher is awesome!! I played all four for the playstations. I own the 4th one but the 1st aand 2nd ones are the best. They're both for psx.

Monster Rancher Rocks!! I've spent countless hours just creating monsters from CD's. I loved Monster Rancher 3 the most. I personally found number 4 to be somewhat of a disappointment. It just didn't grab me the way 2 and 3 did.

I gotta admit, I liked the 1st GBA monster rancher best.
You could created monsters from word/number combos.
(the higher trainer rank you got, the more letters you could use)
I made monsters out of names, licence plates, random words...it's great!
Not nearly as time consuming as the CD swapping.
It gets my vote for best of show ;)
