so maybe i am just stupid, but why is it 32x/cd when all you need is a cd. isn't the 32x meant to expand what a cart can do?

the sega cd 32x games have much higher quality video. it doesnt look as grainy as regular sega cd games

to use an analogy from another crapy system
the 32x acts as an "expansion pak" like on the 64
and corpse killer is alright

I think one of them is a 32x CD game but also comes with a non-32x Sega CD version...weird stuff indeed...

Yeah, that's Fahrenheit. Probably the best of the bunch out of the 32x CDs... but then again, none are true winners

i know that non 32xcd versions were made for some of the games
night trap springs to mind
and corpse killer is on the saturn

Here over the pond there were non-32X CD versions of all four titles that were released in Europe - we never got the enhanced Fahrenheit. And yes, they do just look prettier, although they did revamp the user interface on Night Trap quite nicely.
