I got the guide for 'Phantom Brave' from Doublejump Books (which published also the Disgaea guide). As a guide maniac I was positively surprised.
The guide is very similar to the Alundra and Lunar 1 guides by Working Designs. It is in book format (not hardcover), has 240 pages, an interview with the director of the game, a separate mini art book, and two very small cardboard 'posters' (not stickers like the WD guides).
The layout, maps, and overall design is in the tradition of the Working Designs guides. The font is pretty small though, but still it's twice the size of the Lunar and Alundra guides.
If you're a guide maniac like me and appreciate refined guides with the love for detail, don't miss out on this one! I ordered mine directly from Doublejump Books online.
Sigh...If we would only get a guide like this for Growlanser Generations. :)

Ooooh... you got the guide? In the interview there should be a list of questions submitted by fans. Can you tell me if they printed mine, and what the answers are? I believe I asked if there was any chance of releasing Little Princess on the PSP and Something about doing more toy promotionals.

Cool, I'm eager to check this game out after I play through La Pucelle. I hear it's a lot better than the aforementioned. Will probably pick up the guide down at gamezone as well when they get it ;D.

Congrats! Indeed, you're in there! I noticed it this afternoon when I read the interview, and there was a Q from 'Daria' which reminded me immediately of you and the tip about the cooking oil! :)
page 243:
(Daria) I love collecting RPG related toys and plushies and the Disgaea trading figures were absolutely adorable. Do you have any tie-in toys planned for Phantom Brave?
Answer: We will try to open an online store at NISA's web page as soon as possible to sell some game related goodies. (Please feel free to polish trading figures with cooking oil.)*
*Sentence in parentheses mine.
Well, you're in an outstanding and collectible game guide. Feels good, doesn't it?

Btw, there were a couple of Qs printed asking about future releases like for Little Princess and re-releases like for Rhapsody; the answers were all the same...no plans, no plans, no plans.

I figured as much- just wanted to ask. Although their answer for the toys was more then I had hoped for. Thank you for typing it out for me.

Anyone interested in Phantom Brave or Disgaea needs to check out the Doublejump Books forums. Phantom Brave is their second strat guide and is much more informative than their Disgaea book. I visit their forums daily. 8-)

Yeah, I ordered the Phantom Brave guide last night and preordered the whopping 400 page Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne guide as well :D Can't wait....Doublejump makes some tremendous guides and they even take Paypal for payments! So handy! Can't praise those guys enough!

I had just ordered it from Doublejump, then I saw it at Estarland for $16.95.

On the upside, directly supporting Doublejump ensures that more quality guides like these get made. IMO that's worth the extra 3 measely dollars and five cents.

Saw them at work yesterday.
They sure is pretty :) Dunno if I'm going to pick it up or not, my wife is already upset at me buying two games in such a short span of time (Pikmin 2 and Phantom Brave)
hehe

I picked one up yesterday in my local Gamestop. When I first saw the book sitting there my first thought was "TV Guide" because of its shape and size. Though its definately a quality book I'm not really sure that I don't like the full sized books better.
