This find all started with my weekly perusal of the garage sale section of the paper. I spotted a sale that had stated it had hundred of dvds, vhs movies and multiple videogame systems. I knew I had to attend. The only problem it was on Friday and I would be at work. After I thought about it I decided to take a few hours off work and go hit the sale. When I got there my jaw dropped. All games that are boxed are complete. Sorry I couldn't get it all in one picture, I have a really old camera. I bought the following:

Snes $3 each

Chrono Trigger : @_@
Breath of Fire 2 : @_@
Final Fantasy 3 : @_@
Secret of evermore :D

All the snes games are complete as far as I know. Final Fantasy map & manual are beat up but are complete.

Switcher box $2
Original Tron video $2

Not pictured I bought 9 James bond movies on DVD( a couple are out of print and go for about $20-$30 ) for $3 each

Also Deep space 9 Season 1 on DVD for $8
sells for between $50-$70

I couldn't believe the quality of the games. There were no usual crap games that you always find. All RPG's in perfect condition. Needless to say I was pumped!! If you will excuse me now, I have some gaming to do!!

egads... what a deal. For us newbies, what's the total worth of this and what did you pay (save me the math and looking up each game in the rarity guide please)...

Congrats!

Nice job man, lots of gameplay value in there. Nice prices as well! I should strike a saturday or friday from my available list and replace it with the monday or wednesday I have off so I can garage sale and hit the swap meets, lol!

I want to be your love child.

I dunno, the total worth of that haul is probably well over 350-400.

If he were to sell the Chrono Trigger on ebay, he would make back nearly double what he paid for all of that stuff.

That is all.

sells for between $50-$70

Who was having the garage sale, a crack head or the village idiot?

That DS9 set of 6 or 7 DVDs sells new for over $100! And you got them all for the price of one budget DVD at Best Buy!

Hey man, congratulations on the great finds!!!!!!

Yeah it is. He has it listed at the bottom. $2. Geez. This is definitely "find of the year" material.

Great score, You have lots of excellent stuff there and made those sellers look like total suckers to boot. Not bad for a few hours off work.

Very, very nice. :) I'm surprised they (still) had all that great stuff. I've yet to go to a garage sale because of a newspaper ad because I always think "Well, if they're advertising like this, every other video game collector in the area is gonna check out the sale, and if they mention that they have video games, then they definitely won't have anything good by the time I get there". I guess I'm just too pessimistic. I got some pretty nice garage sale finds this summer, but they all came from a city-wide sale and other sales I just randomly stopped at when spotting them.

Thank everyone for your positive feedback!

Very, very nice. :) I'm surprised they (still) had all that great stuff. I guess I'm just too pessimistic. I got some pretty nice garage sale finds this summer, but they all came from a city-wide sale and other sales I just randomly stopped at when spotting them.

I am also pessimistic when people advertise they have games in the paper. From past experience It usually brings out the game collectors or the prices will be really high. I just figured what the hell and I got there right before they opened to get first look. There were a ton of people waiting, but the sale was so disorganized that it worked to my advantage. The only thing I did miss was a Dreamcast with about 20 games. I would definitely say I got the most choice titles.

@ vision89

I do plan on selling a few things, but most of the RPG's I will be hanging on to.

Anybody have any suggestions on which to play first??
