I've never tried (or had to) do this, but one of my manuals lost a staple somehow and I'm wondering the best way to put it back together. The manual is mint, so I don't wanna mess it up. I only have regular staplers and they are not deep enough to reach into the crease to staple it. Does anybody have any ideas or tried it themselves?
My suggestion would be to either get yourself a long-arm stapler or take it down to a local copy/print shop and see if they can do it for you.

Go to a copy place, printer or book binders place and they should have a really long stapler that is adequet to get to the middle of the manual. They are usually used for stapling pamphlets, small books, etc.

Or, you could take a staple and staple it into nothing (basically push the stapler into itself). Then, take the staple and bend the two pins back a little. Carefully put the two pins through the holes in the manual. Once through, bend both pins back down.

That's pretty much exactly what I did with my Star Ocean 2 manual. Worked very well too.

This is exactly what I did with the suikoden II manual before I sold it. For some fucking reason the video place unstapled the cover, put it in, then put a photo copied manual cover on......WTF? So I threw away the photocopied part then push a staple through and bent the pins.
