It's the link is also in my sig now
http://www.angelfire.com/games5/segaages/

Just so you know, I have very little space to work with to actually have any type of room of doom.

I didn't have much room to type where each pic was in my room, so I will explain it all here.

When you 1st walk in, the wall on the right has the main TV that has the Next Gens there. I had to take a 2nd pic of that because my Red DC and PS1 are hidden under the TV.

If you keep cruisin down that wall, you hit my dresser that has my stereo, dvd players, n64, and saturn on it. The drawer with all the controllers is the bottom drawer of that dresser.

If you keep going down about half a foot, you have my closet. The right wall in there is a huge book shelf with all my saturn, gg, and pc games (I actually forgot to get my weed stash out of the picture, so I said oh well, it is the Nascar tin and is filled with FUN), I mention it in the picture. In the middle is where I have all my gb, gba, gbc, gba boxes as well all my vmu packages, come controller packages and odds and ends. I have 2 things hanging from the top: my r-zone and a game gear case (you can see the r-zone in the picture for the top shelves on the right). In the middle on the very top is where I keep all my console boxes (minus the one for saturn, which you can see on the far left on the main shelf). On the right I have my Joyride Toys.

If you were to keep going in a circle, now would be a place where I didn't take any pictures of because I am preparing to move and this is a huge mess. It is actually where my Game Gear and Gameboys are at as well as my bookshelf with all my movies and magazines (If you guys really want pictures of that part, which is a huge mess, I would be more than happy).

Keep on going and you will hit my bed. My bed is a waterbed with a shelf going across the wall on it. The middle shelf has my gc,xbox games and my gba and game.com. The right shelf has my 2600 carts and the left shelf has a speaker and my towlie doll.

If you keep going past my bed you hit the 4th and final wall. I have a tv right next to my bed (late night 2600 playing is awesome, if you look, it is the only console with the controller still plugged in, hehehe). I actually took pretty good pictures of this wall. The right shelf has my nes and 2600 and and my n64 games, going down to my snes system and my nes games and snes games.

the last shelf has my ps2 games (sort of, they leaked out of the top of my shelf), dc games, ps1 games, 32x games, and my genesis games.

I know I probably didn't have to explain my entire room to you, but from the pictures it might be hard to see how everything fits together since I don't have much room in my, erm, room, it made it harder to take pictures from a distance.

I have ben meaning to do this for over 4 or 5 months, but since I am moving to an apartment soon, I needed to get the pics up since I might never again have a bedroom of doom like this. An upside to doing this all in a bedroom, it is much easier to fill it up :)

EDIT: My room of doom is now no more. it is truly a sad day today.

Ads? Banner?

:hmm:

Oh, that's right, I don't see any ads or popups, I use Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org)

ok, sorry about that. it appears that in order to publicly show my files or pictures to yahoo , i need a premium account, which means i have to pay. fuck that.

i setup a webpage on angelfire. let me know what you all think. i know it hasn't even reached 500 games, but looking at the pictures, you can tell it is already getting crowded pretty much everywhere.

EDIT: a 2nd apology for the banners. that is the reason that angelfire is free.

Nice, nice stuff, and a LOT of it, too..! In one thumbnail it looks like your woodgrain TV is a vertical display - now a supergun setup would've been nice :D

Edit: HOLY CRAP!! A MR. GREEN (http://www.cool-drinks.com/Root%20Folder/MrGreen.html) BOTTLE!

Fake thumbnails = 56K super unfriendly.

*gives up after a few minutes*

I'm sure its nice though :)

SegaAges

yes, the thumbnail are very fake. i could have made real ones, but didn't feel like it because I am lazy. Like I said, I will eventually make it better, with real thumbnails and crap, but until then, sorry 56k'ers.

Great collection! I like the teck bike, its great to use the keyboard as a grind rail whie waiting for a flash video to load

the only reason why i even have the tech bike is because i used to be able to do kick ass tricks with a tech deck skateboard.

Nice RoD, buddy, you need more Atari 2600 goodness in your life, methinks. But that's just me..."Academae Priscum" as they say.

Nice room anyway and I'm sorry I didn't come visit it when I was in your neck of the woods. Maybe next time...

SegaAges

the reason why these pics are up is because there may not be a next time. my bedroom of doom will lay to rest in about a month when i move into an apartment with my dad. if i have enough room to get things setup again, i will not only make another RoD, but it will be better, but if not, I will have to give my salutes to this room. The reason for me doing this now is because next tuesday 90% of my games will be packed up so that the real estate agent can show the house.

there is nothing i can do about the speed. its a free site from angelfire.

EDIT: if you look closely, I actually have 3 different Mr. Green Items. I have the 20 oz bottle, the 1 Liter Bottle, and a can. I almost got the 2 Liter, but I thought that 3 Mr. Green items were enough. It's too bad it is discountinued, because there is no way for me to get that 2 Liter now.

Very nice page. I'd be cool if you could get a slideshow function in there.

PS - Where did you get that Towelie plush toy? I need one! :-P LOL

Nice!

Regarding the Towelie plush, I've seen them at Spencer's.

i actually special ordered mine from comedycentral.com for 19.99 (or 19.95, either way, you get the point). The towlie rocks, plus since I got it from there, it may be similar to the regular store bought versions, but the packaging (just a bag) makes it unique and different.

Here you go:
http://shop.comedycentral.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1077256&cp=1080337

They used to sell a bunch of other plush guys, but this is the only 1 left now, maybe that means these are either not going anywhere anytime soon, or they are going fast. i don't know, i'm an idiot when it comes to those things

i appreciate all of the feedback from you guys. please feel free to let me know anything you think. somebody actually said that i need more 2600 carts. you are very right sir. i got my 2600 for free from my brother, and accumulated all those games in about 2-3 weeks and paid at the most about 30 for them all. After I got all those, I just sort of stopped buying for the 2600 for awhile. i do plan on getting more, and am actually talking with a member on this board about making my own repro of meltdown and combat 2 (maybe targ as well). these are not the bargain bin games either, as it isn't exactly $1 to make myself a repro.

Just a suggestion, either do real thumbnails, or no thumbnails. If I have to load the full picture, I'd rather not have to click on it and RE-load it to get it full sized :)

Just put all the full sized ones on a big page, or do real linked thumbnails.

SegaAges
09-01-2004, 01:00 PM
I am actually working on that.

i didn't have enough time last night to make real thumbnails. I should have the time tonight. I am also going to add some descriptions in there as well.

A bit dusty in some spots :P

Nice VB collection :-P

SegaAges
09-02-2004, 03:43 PM
yeah, i know i need to dust. but this weekend everything is coming down and in boxes, so i will make sure to dust extremely well then.

i wish i also had all my posters up as well, but i had to take them down so that the painter's could get a good estimate on how much it was going to cost.

when everything is down, this topic's subject will also get changed with a (R.I.P.), since there might be a chance that I won't be able to get a room of doom until I move out to seattle in 2 years.

To day is a very sad day when it comes to gaming. my room of doom is now no more. the only thing that is left out at this moment is my xbox and games, a few ps2 games, and a few gc games. everything else is in boxes ready for the move. i may not even have myself a room of doom for another 2 years, but it was funt o have 1 while it lasted.

At least you've got (had?) everything on shelves. My SNES games and a good portion of the loose Genesis stuff is sitting on the ground, waiting for a holder of some kind.

Awesome collection, especially regarding the Saturn games. X_x I've got, um, three of those. :embarrassed:
