It's got 3rd Strike and a hodge-podge of characters from all the other SF games lumped into 1 game.

I'm personally waiting for the Xbox version to be released so I can play on Live. No online play for the PS2 version.

Is this PS2 only? Tried checking Amazon and it seems so.

EB has a release date of 1/11/05 for the Xbox version:

It's a long time from now, but it'll be worth the wait.

I am so all over this it is not even funny. don't get me wrong, I wanted megaman anniversary just for fun, but I suck at megaman games. This is my version of that. I get paid tomorrow, so this is what I am buying with my paycheck.

For some odd reason I'm thinking of buying a ps2 to play this. I mean I already have Third Strike on DC, but I hear this one is more faithful to the arcade. I also have been wanting to play the anniversary ssf2x.

But I really can't wait for the xbox version and it's online play. The PS2 version would serve as good practice for that though.

Im playing SF3 right now...the thing I noticed is this crappy filter...makes it look real blurry...but thank god you can turn it OFF in options...I dunno what capcom was thinking

Control wise for both games...wow..it feels so much friggin smoother compared to the DC especially having R1 has your HP and R2 as your HK

You played SF3 on DC using a standard DC pad? wow. Get a DC agetec stick or if you don't like sticks, an ascii 6 button pad.

And do the same for the ps2 version.

I imported SF Anniversary Collection for PS2. So I shall wait for the Xbox one.

And I poop on your topic title.

In CvS2, quitting doesn't save your stats, it only counts wins and matches, and quitting counts as a match and no win for both players.

Owned, no. Annoying, yes. hopefully the fix this for SF Anniversary.

I've used the AgeTec with the green buttons, feels right at home, but I used to play 3rd Strike all the time at a friend's house...and that's all we had to work with was the DC pads sadly.

Fair enough... even the damn XBand for GEN and SNES were able to tell which user disconnected and retain that as a stat. Still I am very very dissappointed that they pulled the online for PS2....

Yeah I'd want a new controller.. I still can't play any SF2 game with the stupid PS2 recessed d-pad. I could pull off a Zangief 360 Piledriver fine on the SNES pad for example.. but on the ps/ps2 pad? Forget it!

It's the arcade version of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, except you can pick different versions of each character. For example, you can have SF2 Guile Vs. SF2 Turbo Blanka.

And it has 3rd Strike. Which is why I'm buying it.

But is it just me, or is the difficulty hard as freaking hell in Hyper?

I might buy an x-box now, since it has 3 games I want online. CvS2, 3s, hyper fighting. I can't wait till everyone who plays in tourneys for 3s migrates to online.

Also from what I've heard the guide is pretty good, well for a fighting guide it is.

I gotta snag the XBOX version of this gem. That way, if I ever manage to get Live, I could display my might as Akuma on either Hyper or SF3: TS. Heh... the bad news is that my copy of TS for the Dreamcast won't really be much use to me now, so perhaps I should sell it... I dunno. I'll probably keep it just for the sake of... keeping it... yup. LOL

I just submitted an article about it and the Street Fighter controllers to the newspaper I write for for next week's column. I'm lucky that my editor gives me flexibility on the game subjects that I choose to submit. Once it gets run in the paper, I might put a link in this thread to the online version of it...

As for the game, I pre-ordered it at the store I work for, and goldangit, they haven't received it yet. I need to dump this $28 in store credit, so I can buy the game from EB.

rumor has it that the JP XB version will be W-Region - meaning that it will boot on both US & JP systems.

liksang says that they got the word from Capcom, Capcom says its not true

for an anniversary collection, SF1 & Alpha 2 (or 3) should have been included. Also wish they included the History of SF DVD disc that was in the JP Deluxe Edition >_<

Go play the rom of SSF2x (arcade) and you'll see why.

@Richter, It'd be nice to see an Alpha compilation for live in the future. SFA2 =
