Hi,
What are some of the better 3-D platform games? To narrow it down a bit let focus of games that are mostly jump attacks vs. weapon attacks (i.e. Super Mario 64 not Castlevania 64).
My thoughts:
Super Mario 64 is probably still one of the best.
Sonic Adventure is uneven but still very good.
I've been enjoying Pac-Man World recently (but man some of the bosses are HARD!)
And I still like Jumping Flash.
I never really cared for the Crash games.
What about the Gex and Banjo series? Pandemonium? Spider?
What are you thoughts?
Cheers,

The Banjo series is brilliant. I would say its better than SM64, but that's jut my opinion.
DK64 is also a bit like Banjo, but weapons are used a lot more (they all have guns).
Then there are the sub-standard ones like 40 Winks etc..

Mario 64
Banjo Kazooe is amazing
Conkers BFD
NiGHTS into Dreams
the Spyro Series is excellent (most notably 2 - Ripto's Rage)
Sometimes Turok 1 feels like a platformer ;)

Mario Sunshine
Ape Escape (PSX) -- Very innovative 3D platformer where you have to catch monkeys in various time periods. Makes great use of the Dual Shock control pad (which is required).
Sonic Adventure 2 (DC, GCN) -- Many hate this, but it worked for me. Scores mattering and skill-based gameplay are BACK. Awesome cheesy rock music.
Rocket: Robot on Wheels (N64) -- Very overlooked N64 masterpiece with a great physics system that's integral to gameplay.
Rayman 2 (DC) -- Great surprise of a sequel. The DC version is best in most areas, even over the PS2 game.
Jet Force Gemini (N64) -- Some may say it's more of a 3D shooter than a platformer, but it definitely has lots of platform elements. Fun game, but very hard and overlong.
Note that NiGHTS only plays like a 3D platformer if you suck at it. ;) You're supposed to be playing as NiGHTS the whole game, not the kids. Most of the game plays in 2D.

I picked up Pandemonium 2 and Spider at Gamestop yesterday. Most places seem to still want real money for Banjo Wonie & Tooie

Probably 3 of the best I played were Spider-Man for PSX, and BFD and Mario 64 for the N64.
