Will this mod let me play European PAL Saturn games?

I've had a PAL copy of King of Fighters 95 for about a year now. It includes its own ROM cartridge that is required for it to run, meaning that I can't use my 5-in-1 cart. :o

I'd really prefer NOT messing with the monsterous insides of my Saturn if this won't work.

Would I also need a 50/60hz mod after this?

that depends whether KoF95 copy you have is PAL optimised. If it is yes you will need 50/60Hz switch assuming you have TV that can sync at 50Hz signal - pretty much all PAL TV do 50/60Hz but only handful of NTSC TV do.

if it's not PAL optimised you won't need the switch although once you have your Saturn apart it won't hurt to install the switch as well since it will come in handy with few titles...

Does anyone know where I can find some step-by-step instructions for this? I can't seem to find one on the GameSX website.

1. Find 315-5890 prosessor from the MB.
2. Lift pin 79.
3. Connect the pin 79 to 5V for 60Hz/attach it to ground for 50Hz.
