How do you get the back insert out of a PS1 jewel case without damaging it?

i have never heard anyone ask this before...
While holding the closed case, with your fingers, stick one fingertip between the two pieces of the jewel case....on the side of the TRAY that holds the disc where the swivel joint is for the lid (it is likely a flat strip...left side). Pull outward. You may have to pull one side of the bottom part of the jewel case outward (perpendicular...top or bottom of case) while you pull, as there are 4 small pegs that snap and keep the two pieces of the jewel case bottom together.
Congradulations, you have just opened a jewel case. :D
