Last night, I found Great Football complete for Master System for 45 cents at a thrift and Futurama for Xbox for $10 at Toys R Us. It looked like somebody was trying to hide it out. They finally moved the 50% off green tag items to a specific area, which sucks.

This morning, I got Virtual On for the PC for $1 at a flea market. I wanted to go to the other flea they have downtown, but my car needs work. I still buy videogames, though. Priorities, anyone?

The house 2 houses down had a yard sale and I went and checked it out. I know who lives there, so I just flat out asked if they had any atari games or anything like that, and he said that he had an old NES ealier, but already sold it ( ) and that he used to have an atari. Then I also found out that someone in town collects atari games as well, with the last name Dell (if thats one of you, stay otta my territory! :D ). But he told me about this little store that sells all that kinda stuff the town over, so it was cool. He said if he found anything he would come over some day with it.Other then that, I didn't do much searching.

Not much this weekend.

From Thrifts only got a boxed Colecovision roller controler $3.00

Form yard sales a dreamcast RF switch .50

From Game Stop used:
GC Zoo Cube 11.99
PS2 Eternal Ring 4.99
Both minus 20% off that.

Passed on these:

NES with one game, PS and RF switch for $10.00. The lady started at $15.00, but even 10 is way much without controlers.
Bare PS1 $10.00.

Very bad weekend so far.

Here's my Flea Market purchases for today..

I spend about $55.00 in total today.

The Big Batman item is a LCD game made by Tiger...

I don't need another Dreamcast but the vendor who I know gave me a better deal with it included..Since I was only looking to by the Genesis/Master System Games he had....$30.00 total..
He also gave me that PSone Ac adapter...(I'll use this DC for something/I keep selling my spares)

He had about 30-40 Genesis/Master System boxed games..Some that I honestly don't have, but I was picky and only took what's pictured..(I can really break my wallet with this vendor alone)
The Vigilante Master system game has a weird sticker on it that says..(Sega for the 90's The New Generation)
I couldn't remember if I had the Reggie Jackson Baseball game so I bought it just in case.

The N64 Turok 3...I got for $1.00..I never knew they made a Part 3....The DC Ooga Booga game I got for $1.00 from another vendor I know.. He has tons of games that..((I can really break my wallet with this vendor alone also)))
It's so hard to decide what and what not to buy sometimes..

Journey Escape loose cart..$1.00...The guy had a lot of Atari and NES/Genesis stuff...but for the systems and games he wanted very high prices for.
$45.00 for a banged up 4 switch Atari 2600 with a few common games..$30.00 for a boxed mini Genesis system(?)...(no haggling)

Tiger Quiz Wiz $1.00......my third one/new type...I always pick these up for some reason.

I left my Sons push cart in my wife's car so I bought him this fancy Maroon one off a vendor I know there for $10.00..
It's nice and I like it better then the one I have....I needed another one anyway.
....and the vendor gave me the ...
Game Boy Printer...
Two trucks that my Son had his eye on.
And that Game Boy Color..."Free"

He actually gave me the Game Boy Color free...before I even asked him about the Carriage ..Since,..I buy a lot of stuff off of him..
I figured the Game Boy Color was broke..

The first thing I did when I got home was put batteries in it and ...It didn't work..
But I noticed the spring that goes against the battery in the back was bent and not touching the battery right.
I straightened it out and it works perfectly....Pretty sweet...(into the collection)

I bought the PSone looking Game Player thing for $2.00..
I don't know anything about it...It looks like it takes Famicom carts..(?)

Virtua Racing (Import box but with Domestic cart x_x) Cart and box- $1

Finally made it to the clearance at VG Exchange, eh? That import 32X VR Racing has been there forever...the idiots behind the counter probably gave it to someone who bought one of the domestic boxes when they still had the carts behind the counter. I get the feeling they may be closing that location, and moving everything to the HWY 100 location...they seem to do most of their biz on ebay anyway.

I picked up a few items at a local thrift's half-off day...

Bare N64 console (with 4 meg RAM cart!) $5.00

8 loose SNES titles $1.50 each including; Kirby's Adventure, Scooby-Doo, and Castlevania Dracula X!

If anyone read my post in Arcade Alley about a Mortal Kombat 2 cabinet for 400$, I went to check it out.

Ended up being a MK I cabinet.

I ended up getting 1 fully working MK cab and a partial working second cab.

The second cab was an MK I but has a rolling monitor, but is complete and working minus 1 button.

Both for $400. The second cab will be stripped and used as a mame cab, and the spare parts will be sold. Was kinda hesitant to drop 400 on these but I figured I'd be better off spending it instead of screwing around trying to build my own cabinet.

Final Fantasy II w/ box & map
Secret of Mana w/ box & manual
Paladin's Quest (loose)
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (loose)
Monster S-Video interconnect
SNES composite cable

$2 total. LOL

UPDATE: Also got 2 factory seal NES carts for $10 each, and a complete copy of DDR Disney Mix for $20. Straight to eBay with these guys.

Yeah, I've hit the place up about 3 times during the sale, and this weekend I'm home from college so I decided to check it out again. I mean, the place is just getting bare now, it seems like they might just move everything to HWY 100.

Would be even nicer if they dropped prices even further to make the place even emptier.

Bwah! What thrift store were you at?

One of the few days I can get out to garage sales paid off today. The first one I hit had a SNES, 2 average games and crap black and white TV for $40. I didn't waste my time making an offer. After that it was down hill. I started to get cranky and we headed to the next town. We had to go to the Walmart for some school suppliesfor my son and we stopped at a few garage sales there. I paid $20 Canadian for this stuff.

At the thrift stores today:

Generations Lost box (no game, just box) - .25

Loose carts:

Ex-Mutants for Genesis
TMNT 3 for NES
Beyond Oasis for Genesis
Eternal Champions for Genesis
WURM, looks kinda like a Genesis game but more square, with a label on the back that says "Apicmai Trading" and lots of Japanese writing, seems to be one of those "don't set this on fire, or submerge it in boiling oil, etc" warning labels. Some of the katakana I can figure out says something like "Friend Computer."
Streets of Rage, for Genesis
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron for N64
A big Atari controller, with the normal d-pad, pause, option, and ABC buttons on the top half, and what looks a lot like a telephone number pad on the bottom half. Sorry I can't provide any pictures. I don't have a digital camera here.

All for about $40. Yeah, I've never been much good at getting good prices.

That is a famicom clone. I have a Russian one. If you didn't get a power supply, a genesis one should work. To hook it up to a tv, use plain RCA cable. It will probably only play in black and white :(

Don't you just love Gamestation, they take any old crap. The employees in my local shops are beginning to suspect something. I have taken so much stuff to them over the last couple of years. One guy in their even felt sorry for me. He said that i was making a huge loss on a tatty megadrive and a bunch of common unboxed games. I was 'only' gonna get £35 for it. Well i only paid a fiver for it that morning HEH HEH! :D

Anyhow slim picking for me, just a megadrive and a few games (incl Splatterhouse 2), boxed yoshi's safari, psone for £3.50 (i think the controller ports are broken though)

Not a find, but I saw something wierd this weekend. I had gone to a 'wedding' at Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall camp this weekend (they do weeklong activities for kids with AIDS, cancer, and other diseases like that). While I was going through the campgrounds to the cabins, I saw a bus there. No surprise, becasue they have all kinds of stuff to make it a paradise for the kids (next to the bus was an old firetruck and some horses). The bus was painted with all kinds colorful pictures, kinda like a huge mural on the side. On the top left corner, the SEGA logo was painted on, blue and white, just like the emblam that we all know so well. :hmm: Meh. I thought it was a wierd sight.

Yup i sure do!
They know what i do in there, u know, car bootin n re selling, but they dont care as im mates with all the guys in there n they have a laugh at how much i pay for them etc... the reason they always buy, is cause they have to... its instructed by the whole gamestation chain to do so as they still make profit on them... but so do we.... LOL *looks at his well earned £84 he made today*

I live about 30 minutes outside of Newport in South Wales, Cauterize, in a little village. I mainly get my finds from the boot sales in my area and a couple of local gamestations.
Your right about gamestation taking anything. I took a horribly dirty yellow coloured snes to them recently. I only bought it for £2 but they gave me £15 for it!!
