I was curious as to what complete copies were going for, so I did an ebay search and couldn't find so much as a loose cart for sale. Has anyone seen this sell in the last while, loose or complete? thanks

I just sold a SNES Chavez II cart on Ebay a couple weeks ago. It was loose but in perfect condition. Got $26.76 for it.

This is one game that doesn't show up too often. I'd suggest you get your copy ASAP. Finding a complete one could be quite hard. I only know of a few people that have one.

I actually have a sealed one :) but was curious as to what kind of prices completes were fetching. thanks for the reply Danny. Any idea as to what completes have sold for in the past? :? Doesn't really matter since I don't want to sell, but I am curious..

I really don't have a price that I know of for this one. Something like that would pretty much be a seller's market. Any interest in selling the sealed one?? LOL
I'd have to guess a complete one would be at a minimum $50 to $75, but I'm just guessing on that.

I just missed out on that auction LOL, and that sealed Chavez II would be a nice item to have!
(alittle off topic) Does anybody have Super copa? Danny how about you?

Nope, don't have that one or either of the ISS games. As far as we know, the ISS are South American releases and isn't Super Copa a PAL game??

Do you mean it's a European "only" release?... If so i know there are both an ISS and ISS deluxe for the American/mexican snes.
And yeah i have the deluxe pal version!... ISS is one of the sweetest snes soccer titles!.. thats why i nearly had a fit when a woman from konami told me that there was no ISS games in north America, except for ISS on the N64.
But i had heard, it did get a Mexico release, Pop 'n' Twin bee should have been released but since soccer is huuuuge in mexico they went with ISS, IMO all 3 konami games should have got a US release, ISS, ISS Deluxe and Pop 'N'

I don't know if this is a good gauge, but I got a complete copy of Chavez II for $14, but that was 2 years ago.

Huh, that's cheap. In a way I'm not surprised though. It's really rare for a snes game but the demand can be spotty - more of a collector game than a gamer game if you know what I mean. I think this is the sort of title where a complete could go for $10 one week and $100 the next, IMO. Like Fun n Games etc

I have a complete one and a sealed one, and when I sell them I am going to put the price high and just wait over the next few months until someone buys it. I have to have money for a down payment for a house and my games are going to have to go. I have most all of the rare and popular SNES games and I am only selling them at a fixed price in my ebay store and I am getting good high $$ for them. If anyone is interested let me know. I am still keeping up with prices and availability for some of the SNES games and Chavez 1 or 2 only comes up about every couple of months and I have never seen a complete Chavez II on ebay. Neither have I ever seen a complete Aero Fighters, Fun N Games, or Bebe's Kids but I will be selling them soon. I keep these games on my saved searches to keep up with the prices.

I've tossed around the idea of selling the free loose chavez II I picked up a while ago, but don't really know if it would go for that much. Might be a better idea to keep it.

AFAIK Chavez 2 is a lot more common than Chavez 1.....thats because Chavez 2 came out in the US while chavez 1 came out in MExico only

Wah?? I see Chavez 1 carts all the time and it's definitely much more common that Chavez 2. Or are you just talking about the carts rarity in Mexico?

I talk from my experience in Mexico. and i thought it was the same in the US LOL

I've seen them up on Ebay allot for $3-$4 and most don't even get any bids. Chavez 2 is the one that everybody wants.

I believe it was released in spanish only - that's why it's rare in the first place. It was only distributed in mexico and the southwest US because of the language issue.

you can find them in canada too, but they're probably just as rare as they are in the us. i found one locally (winnipeg) and i bought another from a guy in toronto. i had another one previously but i sold it.
i'm pretty sure that it was only released in spanish. it's not hard to play because of the language though but i find boxing boring so i didn't play it long.

--yeah, but where did those copies originally come from? I find it super unlikely that they would even distribute a spanish language only game in winnipeg which has a spanish population of zero..
--according to the DP guide it was dist. only in southwest us/ mexico and I think that makes plenty of good sense..

Being a mexican, maybe I can describe more details about the release of this game.
The SNES was immensely popular here in Mexico. In fact, all other systems like Genesis and Tg-16 were almost non existant (IŽd say less than 5% of the total market).
The first video game magazine here was called "Club Nintendo", it came out in 1990 or 1991, and it lured ALL mexican players to SNES. This magazine started hyping the Chavez game months before it came out. Chavez is the best boxer in the history of this boxing-loving country. The "Club Nintendo" even featured a cover with Chavez, and this game was available for pre-order (The first time ever a game could be pre-ordered here) and THOUSANDS of people bought this game....and it was a hit.
Most mexican videogame-fans are gamers, not collectors, thats why most people sold their SNES when the N64 came out, and maybe thats why there are so many copies of "Chavez" in the US..
Anyway, those are my 2 cents..
