View Full Version : Problem with "Quake II" multiplayer
I have gotten Quake II and I want to play multiplayer but everytime I use Gamespy or any other server browser a window pops up when i click the server and it says " SZ_getspace: overflow without allowoverflow set". What do i do to fix this so i can play Quake II online?

Well, first I would go ahead and download the latest patch (http://www.planetquake.com/).
If that fails, I would suggest asking the same question on someplace other than a retrogaming site, as you'll probably have more luck finding a solution.

It means you've used up all your space for configs. Delete your cfg files.

It deals with how Quake II parses config files. Click this link and scroll to the bottom, Bug #2, if you want a long explanation (most is pretty general, even though this is a FAQ for a certain set of macros):

First thing you should do is update Quake II - really, everybody should always update ALL their games as much and as completely as possible, unless you're trying something like playing Quake III with Dreamcast users ;)
