Hey all,
I was reading through the Video Game BIble yesterday (still waiting for my DP Advance guide), and saw that they had a review and a price for Lobo for the Genesis. I have been collecting for 10 years and I have never seen this game. Does it exist or is this an error?

I remember a ton of previews for it with the KI-styled graphics and wanted to play it (even though you should know it would suck). Never seen a copy anywhere.
Anyway, we have that online database for something, and this is the time to use it....

Well, EGM reviewed it in issue #86 - September 1996. They gave it a 3.0, 3.0, 3.0 and 2.5
Best feature - Lobo
Worst feature - Graphics
Also try - Anything else LOL
It may still not have been relased but I can't think of too many games that were in available in a reviewable form and then cancelled. However, this was a very late "release" in the Genesis' life so I guess it's possible.

There's actually quite a few Genesis games that were cancelled right before they almost made it out the door. I can't think of them all offhand, but if you go to www.genesiscollective.com it's easy to find them just by going through their database and looking for all the titles that you never found.
Also, alot of titles just never made it out the door in North America for some reason, but everyone else in the world seems to have gotten them. So we can thank the bumbling idiots at Sega of America for all of those casualties. There was also at least one near miss that I know of, which almost didn't make it, but thankfully just barely made it out the door at the last minute.
And that would be Tinhead. I'm not sure what happened with that one to delay it for so long, but it was announced several years before it finally made it into stores, shortly before the death of the Genesis. I remember grabbing it off the shelf as fast as I could when it finally showed up at my local game store, because I was convinced that it was never gonna come out by then.
BTW, it had already been reviewed in EGM a long time before it finally came out too, so I always wonder about some of the casualties myself. I still look for some of them, even though I know they don't exist, just on the chance that I might actually find them anyway. But then if they really did exist, they would probably be found in Europe, where the rest of our casualties went.
