Damn hard.

Decided to give eternal champions for sega cd a try. I have had it for a while, and never really put a lot of play into it. ANywayz is it just me or is this game freakin hard? I just cant get into the rhythm of it. Even on Neophyte, I cant make it past the second opponent. WHy is this game so hard??? :angry:

Yeah, I have the same trouble. The cart version is just as bad. I can't really find a character to mesh with either. Even worse, if you make it to the final battle, you only get one shot. You lose, no continue. Looks good at least.

I used to be pretty good at this game with Trident. He had one series of combos that would do around 33% damage. If you think the game is hard in the beginning try fighting the muddafucken eternal champion. Oh my lord. I beat him once on the cart version but fear what else I'd have to go through on the cd version. Never played it yet and I've had it for quite some time. The most frustrating thing I remember was trying to pull off the Damn stage fatalities.

They do seem to be quite hard to pull off. The ones that have been done on me by the cpu were amazing though. On Larsens stage, the chick behind the box office came out and fucking shot me to death while I was layin there on the ground. @_@ Holy shit, I would love to do that to someone else, but I dont have the patience to learn all of the moves.

I TOTALLY agree here... I wanted so badly to get into this game... articles that I've read about this game suggest a whole lot of hidden content... fatalities, sudeen deaths, vindettas, cine-kills... seems they took the MK formula and ran with it. The CD is supposed to be bursting with gory stuff. Too bad it's so hard. I only got to the second opponent, and she kicked my ass so many times I just gave up.

I gave this a fair bit of play back in the day and much preferred the CD version to the dull Cart version. The stage fatalities and cinekills were great. Certainly was a tough game though!

I remember playing the cart version back when it came out and I don't remember it being that hard....maye my memory is fuzzy. Is the CD version much harder or something?

God I love the stage kills in the cart version so much. My favorite one was where you had to kill the person right on the far left edge of the screen on that caveman guy's level and this fucking dinosaur came out of NOWHERE and chomped them into bloody gore. Hmm...I'm getting quite an itch to break out the cd version.

I didn't find the game that hard but I did have a problem with finding ANY character that I liked or was good with.

My favorite stage kill was the giant fan that sliced your opponent up. LOL

There was also another one (I believe it was a drive by shooting stage kill) that I could NEVER get to work on the Genesis version. I was reading the stage kills based on the Sega CD version though. Should it be working on the Genesis version? :roll:

God how I just remembered that. This fucking stage kill NEVER worked in the place it was supposed to. One time I randomly caused it to happen in a random spot and it was pretty damn funny.

i do remember playing the genesis version, while it was hard i do remember getting pretty far, i think i made it up to the last boss.....not sure..
