Hi everyone.

On Sunday at a local Car Boot Sale, i picked up a box of japanese "stuff" for £18. I'll start with the rubbish:

- old mobile phone crap
- walkie talkie head set
- some random plugs
- part of of a home phone (??)

Now for the interesting stuff:

- Japanese N64 + 1 Pad + J League Soccer game.
- Japanese Sega Mega Drive (complete set-up)
- N64 official pad (red)
- N64 official pad (yellow)
- N64 offcial pad (top part black, bottom half grey @_@ )

I found out about the grey/black pad. It firstly came with limited copied of Mario Kart 64 in Japan, and later was released as a main colour. So its not that rare but it looks very cool. I'll post pics if anyone wants them. PM if anyones looking to buy it. If the price is right i may part with it. LOL

Anyway enough rambling, this is what i need you guys help with:

On the top it has 2 slots, one SNES the other MD. A floppy disk slot at the side and fits in the MD. I understand its some sort of game copier. But the 2 slots have completley thrown me.. Oh yeah theres a floppy with "Gain Ground" on it. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks very much,

Joe. :)

A Double Pro Fighter! Nice find!! I've got one too!
This is a copier for genesis and snes, but you don't have the two adapters needed...

Is there an adaptor with the Double Pro Fighter?

I have a similar device, and basically they can be used to back up (copy) Megadrive and SNES games

The unit should have an adaptor perhaps? there was one for SNES and one for Megadrive which goes on the underside, and plugs into the appropriate system.

Then the two slots on the top correspond to Megadrive / SNES, the grey flap is a dust cover to protect the one that isn't in use..

So you can plug the game in, and back up to disk using the unit, and then play from floppy..

Does this make sense? @_@

He beat me to it!

The similar device I got.. from a flea market for 20p, and my adaptor is for SNES..

The part on the bottom that plugs into the Genesis is actually a snap-on adapter. There's also an adapter for plugging it into a Super Nintendo. The "double" means it will back up either one. The Double Pro Fighter was the poor man's Multi Game Hunter. The DPF did the same things as the MGH, but was plagued with cheap production problems.

Approx Value: $50 (low) $100 (average) $150 (high)

Great find! I have several copiers but I've yet to find one in the wild.

I remember seeing something like this recently.

The Gain Ground disc has the rom for Gain Ground, and it plays it through the machine into the MD(or SNES, which ever it's for). Nice find there.
