Was on my way to circuit city to get mario golf for $25 on sale, wife stopped by walmart to get something for the kids, so I headed over to the game section, which NEVER has anything on sale or clearance. Lo and behold, 4 "crushed" box games on the bottom of the shelf. One is Mario Golf with a slightly "bent" box (crushed is way too harsh of a word for this box).
$22.00 - Works for me!

Probly the second or third game I've ever bought at walmart.

I might have bought a game at Wal-Mart in the past but I dont' remember. I think it was a game for the PS1 though.

But I normally stay away from dept stores when it comes to games.

In the late 90's in college I stopped by Walmart on my lunch break between classes, and found a brand new copy of Earthbound for $15. I actually left it there for weeks before finally buying it, since $15 was a lot back then.

A few weeks ago I sold it for $160. :)

We have one of those mega-super-whatever walmarts in concord that NEVER has anything on clearance/sale/reduced. They still have mad maestro on clearance for $20, etc...
Another 2 walmarts near me are pretty much the same, with just less selection and the good old run down crappy appearance.

I bought Sega Bass Fishing 2 for the Dreamcast there just a few weeks ago for only $10! Beats the heck out of the $20 or more that they go for on ebay, especially now that I know where the sellers are getting them from!

I've also picked up a bunch of good games at Walmart for cheap. Almost all of them were eBay fodder. I got:

5 new Earthbounds $35 each
2 new Bubble Bobbles $29 each
Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2 $19 each
Suikoden $19 (they had dozens of these :( )

That's just off the top of my head. There are a few more I can't recall.

They were all $22.00 and either I had them or they were uninteresting enough that when my wife asked me that same question less than 15 seconds later, I couldn't recall a single title.

I recently bought FF Tactics GH there. Of course, I had to wait in line 15 minutes to buy it, but that's just how it is.

i HAD to buy games from wal-mart (or k-mart) when i was a kid...there just wasn't anything else unless mom wanted to drive up to the mall. there certainly weren't any game stores. oh wait, there was a KB toys in a strip mall, but their prices sucked, even 12 years ago.

i did buy my first dreamcast from target tho...i like target.

Are you talking about MarioGolf for the n64? I think so but not for sure. I still find games like RE2, THPS 2+3, and World is Not enough games at my Wal-Mart for like 24.99 a piece.
I would pay 25 for a new copy of MarioGolf 64 though!!

I have yet to buy a single game from Wal-Mart.

I give you a lot of credit for that!!! I mean I RARELY buy a game from Wal-Mart, but do sometimes only because I there good markdowns on certain games that my other game stores I buy things from still have the same game for $10+ more.
I'd say out of every 50 new games I buy, only 1 comes from Wal-Mart.

By the way, I absolutely LOVE your avatar!!!! And the other pic of the turtles at the bottom!

The majority of my new games I buy, I get from Walmart. I don't like buying from EB Games because they open up all their games before selling them... When I buy a new game, I want to be the one to remove the plastic surrounding the game. :D

By far and away, the best quality about Walmart is the fact that they are open 24 hours a day. The only times that I've bought games from there was past midnite.

Wal-mart sucks for sales as they also do for clearancing games. The only thing good about this is they keep old games around for ages. One Wal-Mart I visited in 2001 still had sealed NES games for $18. WTF
