Does anyone have a loose copy of the U.S release Stadium Events for sale? The last auction on ebay ended at $222 , and the one before that ended at $227. I will pay around $225-250 depending on condition. Someone please reply.

Links for those auctions please :o

If they ended that low there must be a reason for it. Like bad feedback rating or something like that.

Normally that game goes for no less than 400 loose. And IMO that is a bit low. You can expect to pay anywhere from 390 - 500 loose , if not more.

FYI

But if you can get it cheeper , more power to you.

I saw one end at 2000 and the highest bidder had about 100 feedback so I think the sale went through, wish I saved that auction..

blarg cart games are the worst to collect because you can easily run into a bootleg copy not exactly hard to copy create a nice niftty sticker to make it look like the real thing. :eek 2:

I can vouch for imanerd0011, I seen those auctions also. Thats the usual price I have seen the last several end at. Those were NTSC/USA carts in awesome cosmetic condition.

I watched most of DL's auctions. They were crazy over priced. Had to be shill bidding going on.

Perfect condition of Dragon Warrior IV, mint, no creases on maps, every item that came with the original game would go for about 80-100$....the EXACT same item, same condition for DL's would be like 200+.

And alot of his items went for MORE than factory sealed items.

I don't necessarily think it was shilled up. Don't forget that he listed a complete NES collection all at once. Those kinds of huge simultaneous listings generate a lot of extra interest.

Wah??? Disc games are sooooo much easier too bootleg than carts (unless it's Gamecube). Way more common also.

even of they were overpriced on a lot of there games, where in the hell are you going to find a MINT CIB stadium events. honestly.... 1856 doesn't sound that outrageous for that specific game in that condition. Just my opinion. If it was down to that being the last game i needed to complete a CIB NES game i too would probably pay that much just because the chances of me finding that game like that again are going to slim to none.

Except it isn't easy to come across logo'seals written onto the disk which allows it to bootup. Not really easy to make a bootable cd game (except the sega cd. ) and have the official sealed of the respected console on the disk.

Mob mentality. It's a beautiful thing. The seller wins, and you as the buyer, should stay away.

i thought it was a promo game that was never sold in stores hence the hefty value.

Oh oh oh. Nah, not at all. Just discontinued before it reached even a small print run. Just do a search for stadium events on these boards and read the eighty billion threads talking about it - it'll answer your questions.

This game was originally published by Bandai in September 1987. The following year, Nintendo bought the rights to Bandai's Family Fun & Fitness exercise pad, and rereleased it as the Power Pad. Stadium Events was renamed and packaged exclusively with the Power Pad peripheral.

In addition to that, I've heard that there were about 2000 copies of this game produced under the name Stadium Events. The remainder were under the name Athletic Team Games, if I remember correctly...

I've heard that 2000 number bandied about, but I've also heard people saying 5000. Anyone have any leads on the production #s for this game or any others? :?
