Nice! I just recently got my Virtual Boy working again. It's definitely one of the more intersesting consoles floating around out there.

VB is a definite chick magnet. Just walk around with it... glued... to your face. :D
Just out of curiousity, where in Ohio are you, SMB?

Nice the AC adapters can be hard to find sometimes so its nice you got one with it. I love my Virtual Boy its alot of fun and looks good on a shelf when you're not playing it. I was going to recommend some games but their aren't that many and almost all of them have some play value so you might as well get them all. I never got Waterworld though because I heard bad things about it and it cost too much along with some of those obscure import ones.

About 3 months ago I finally won one on ebay. There are 2 items that are never around here in MO. Top Loader Nes's and VB's. I too always get outbid on a virtual boy i want. I used to have one but got rid of it like 6 yeara ago. I finally just splurged and bought a new one off ebay for $225. Of course way more than I wanted to spend on that, but was worth it I guess.

The VB is a cool little system, but it killed my eyes so I never got one.
Congrats on your find though, I would say that that's a pretty decent price. And there is nothing wrong with your signature:)

Wow.. I guess I really lucked out. I got a complete in box Virtual Boy w/ six complete games, including Nester's Funky Bowling and Panic Bomber, for $50 at an indie VG store. Makes me happier about my find then :D

Remember how Nintendo Power used to print warnings about kids under 7 using it, cause it could damage developing retinas? That was awesome.

About 2 years ago I bought a V Boy from a used music/game store with 2 games and sure enough in was broken. I took it and the games back and they said I could just keep the games. Woohoo! I knew a friend through work about 18 months ago and he wanted to get rid of one, I bought it for $30 with one more cart. I did OK and it still works to this day.

Nice find, man. It's a really distinctive system which I personally think of as akin to the Vectrex with regards to being a unique piece of gaming hardware.
I've been lucky enough to stumble across two of them at the thrifts on different outings. Paid $8 total for both of them. One had Mario Tennis , a battery pack, and no AC. The other had no cart, no battery pack but the AC.
After that, however, finding games for it became a real beeyatch. Every local game shop has one and only one copy of Mario Tennis and that's it. I was visiting in-laws in Nebraska last month and found a good selection of some titles at a local game shop but I thought they were kind of pricey @ $15 to $20 for loose carts. Picked up a couple boxed titles at CGE but haven't got around to playing them yet.
Nice the AC adapters can be hard to find sometimes so its nice you got one with it.
Here's a tip for you all if you don't know it: VB uses the exact same AC adapter as the SNES. But you need the little box adapter to connect it to the VB. That is nothing more than a box which adapts the DIN connector on the power supply to fit the VB's pins. Buy one of these solo if you can - shouldn't be more than $15 online - and then just grab any old SNES adapter you can as they're still somewhat plentiful.
As for your signature, I like it well enough but but my 7-year-old son raves about it and makes me pull up threads with your posts just so he can see it. If that's not a thumbs-up vote I don't know what is.

I think it's a great price. Good that you got a nice game with it, too. Just try and pick up some more great VB games! :-P
Best Mario Tennis version, IMO. 8-)

hmm.. got mine at a pawn shop two years ago for $20 with tennis and warrio.. It worked for about a year then one of the left eye started to freak out and the NES security screws are twice as deep as a NES bit so can't open it.
Well I hope that when i get it that it will never turn off :)
So Far I only got V-Tetris and Mario Tennis then another Mario Tennis i got in that auction
;)
