Just cut the tabs out of the inside your snes and you can play all imports. Its free and easy to do.

I took the low tech road to mod mine:

I got a cigarette lighter and melted the tabs down and then chipped them out.

Plays imports just fine now. :)

You can also cut the tabs off a Game Genie and use that as a converter. It's easier to do that than it is to do it to the system itself. But I would prefer a converter cart myself, and I don't know where to get one either. I've heard of one called the Honeybee, but I'm not sure if it works on US SNES or not.

I used a cigarette lighter to heat up a screw driver and melt them off.

I used an x-acto knife heated up with a lighter and cut them suckers out. Funny thing is, I have no import games. LOL Guess I was bored.

Hmmmm, Free mod job or $28? If I wasnt so blind and knew that I could have done this myself I would have picked that up for sure.

OK, Enough of my rambling, Gonna find me a screwdriver so I can play Mobile Suit Gundam. :-P

Thanks Guys!

Well that Honeybee looks more like a converter for playing SNES games on SFC, not the other way around. Do they make one for playing SFC on SNES?

Here's the product description for it from Lik Sang:

Product Features
# Play foreign import games (99% compatibility rate) on your SNES/SFC console
# Play US or Japanese games on a PAL machine
# Play PAL or Japanese games on a US machine
# Play PAL or US games on a Japanese machine
# Not compatible with FX chip games
# Can be used with almost all Super Nintendo/Super Famicom cartridges
# Extend your SNES/SFC software collection
# Requires one domestic game cartridge (not included)
# Limited stock, only available as long as stock lasts
# Compatible with 99% of games, not compatible with Super FX chipset titles

The only odd thing about this is that it requires a US cart to be plugged into the back of the converter for the conversion of any import. :hmm:

There is a converter for SFC to SNES. I have one, it's made by a company called Vintron. Never heard of them before but it works perfect. I don't have a digicam handy but if you wanted some pics I can see what I can do.

Oh and I purchased it locally from a garage type sale, so I don't have a clue where it originally came from. Sorry :(

I have a Nakitek Game Saver/Converter for sale, if you haven't cut the tabs out yet.
